"Hey Mercedes" in USA?

Hi, I just bought a 2020 E-class cabriolet. Since then I have seen videos about the "Hey Mercdes" voice control. However I can find no evidence that this works in my car. It does not respond, don't see any menu items or mention in the manual.

Is that available on 2020 E-class in the US?

Thanks!

And it's beyond annoying - so, be glad you don't have it. I have it in my 2020 GLE and I really like MBUX, but the "Hey Mercedes" feature is not very functional and it interrupts you anytime you say "Mercedes" or a word similar. Cannot change the wake word like you can with Alexa... I have the "Hey Mercedes" feature turned off now.

Well isn’t that just PERFECT! The new S Class will come with a huge touch screen in the center stack, which will control most functions. When folks mention the distraction factor, many answer that the driver can use voice commands. But what if we don’t WANT to talk to our car? In so many ways, the previous—non MBUX W213’s—, not to mention the current W222’s—are looking better and better.

Stream, the only thing we can hope for is that they continue to improve the accuracy of the voice recognition. It's terrible now - but with continued improvements - it could be workable. Otherwise, MBUX is a nice improvement over COMAND.

How often do you say Mercedes in your car? Anyway, you can just turn it off if you dont want to use it.

I've never had an issue with Mercedes voice or its accuracy. Have you trained gone through the linguistic learning mode sequence to individualize the system to your voice?

I believe that with time, most anyone can master the voice system. My issue is that I DON’T WANT TO! Touch screen operation was great for the Nav in my Lexus sedans, but there was a button, knob or switch for most everything else. I’m just not thrilled with the idea that it’s touch screen or voice commands and that’s pretty much it. A couple of years ago, Genesis loaned me a big G90 sedan for a weekend. Most every function that could be done by command or on a screen, ALSO had a button, knob or switch. I thought that was a great idea.

Toe each his own. I hate buttons, switches and touch panels because I much prefer to keep my eyes forward with hands on the wheel at all times.
