Changing car oil!

Hello guys,

I am planning to change the car oil soon, but will do it in regular shop for
E300 2017 4matic it says 7l with the filter. is that correct?

Also, how to reset odometer after changing the oil so I can have track and know when to change it next time. Do i have to do it through computer or manually through my dashboard ?

.
You can do a reset via the workshop menu. A search will return instructions to access it.

6.5L I believe for 4 matic, 7 L for RWD. Your owners manual states the capacity. I fill 7 quarts in mine and its still not to the full line, same with wife's GLC. I was told the level should be in between Min and Max... not what I normally go by, but I know the oil is in there. 7L (7.4 qts) had it to the max line which is the value for a non-4matic

Thanks guys, what I did I bought extra bottles, so once they suck the oil out it was around 7.5l and I filled it with 7.5l. in 4matic owner manual it states 7l...but my eyes are the judge here

I learned how to get in workshop menu and reset it now.

You should be very careful to not over fill with oil. Putting too much oil in can cause all kinds of trouble. You should always go by your owner's manual for the correct fluid amounts.

the manual i think says 7l, still the sensor didn't mention anything about over filling it so I am good to go!

I wouldn't totally rely on the sensor as they can be inaccurate and also go bad. Owners manual recommendations are from the engineers who designed the vehicle. I'm just trying to save you grief down the road. My father was an engineer and a member of the Society of Automotive engineers and that's how he taught me about oil changes. Just my 2 cents.

.
Keep in mind that engine oil expands significantly by the time it reaches operating temperatures.

tottally agreeing with you guys I checked the oil level by dipstick and it is in good level , usually I change the oil by 5k KM or 6KM so I might do that in few months with changing transmission oil and filters
