Squeaky wheel gets the grease...
Figure out your state's Lemon Law.
Keep taking it back until you cross the threshold, and get a contingency Lemon Law attorney and start a case for a buy back.

All of a sudden they will be very helpful...

You don't need a lawyer, just make sure you have documented paperwork from the service department for each visit showing dates and the issue so there can be no question. Back in 2011 I lemon law'd a Jeep GC for weekly air suspension failure. They replaced everything from compressor to air bags to circuit boards but could not get it fixed. After 6 visits I told Jeep/Chrysler I was going to lemon law it. I was living then in MA and the law is 5 visits or more in the first 12 months for the same defect which has not been repaired. As Frank suggested, check your local lemon laws. Good luck.

The Ohio Lemon Law seems to be 18k mls. I purchased car w/ 18,300 miles as Cerified pre-owned. One week after having car, it made sound & I made appt w/ Mercedes service. It has been in shop 5 times w/ no fix & I have numerous videos. They said it’s a “character flaw” of 2016-2019 e-classs & no fix. Mercedes Cust service said they stand by what the service dept says. So I will have to fight to get then to do what’s right, I guess. SMH

So I reached out to VP of customer Serv of Mercedes & they said they stand by what service dept says. Is this a joke?? I worked hard to get my dream car & to be treated like this is not acceptable. Stand by your motto “the best or nothing’! Has anyone else had this issue??

its the parking brake. im guessing you park on a graded driveway or road? Mine does that too but only on my driveway that is quite slanted.

It is not a defect! It is the sound of the automatic parking brake releasing. The sound happens even when parked on a flat surface such as in my garage.

I had same problem, especially if I left the car outside for an extended period. This is because the rear brakes are electronic.

Solution: I now use the brake release tab before I move the car. Problem solved.

Hope this helps!
