I’m currently thinking of ordering a e450 cabriolet. I was wondering how much of a discount. The various websites say not much.

Hard to find an E350 in stock in the northeast and as a result discounts are slim. Ordered mine in early August and dealer received it on dec 31st. Picking it up on Wednesday.

Just looked on TrueCar for a new E350 in Boston area, discounts are at $3452 off MSRP of around $64K.

In my experience a 5% discount is not even worth negotiating. Better to use USAA. Which interestingly is where TrueCar started.

In the NY area there seem to be very few cars available. Mine was ordered in August and delivered last week. What I found with TrueCar is at times when you contact the dealer the car has been sold or deal is different. I stuck with a dealer that have doing business with for many years. They are a volume dealer but have very few e class (1 or 2) in stock.

COVID has thrown a wrench in everything. As I have said before, I am trying to order a e 450 cabriolet. The dealer can’t even tell me if he can order one yet. I looked and there are 4 within 150 miles. With the short supply, you aren’t going to get large discounts. When I was looking for an Acura, there were only 3 trim levels. No other options. It was easy to compare dealers. With Mercedes, there are so many different options, it’s hard to compare.

My dealer sold out the inventory. All that was left were $$$ AMG models. But I understand production has resumed and vehicles are in the pipeline.

E450 cabs have always been hard to find in the northeast and always had a long lead time to order. The don’t produce many each year. My 2019 E450 cab was in order for over 8 months before it was produced and shipped. Great car and was worth the wait.
