Storing Favorites in 2021 E450 Navigation System

Storing Favorites in 2021 E450 Navigation System
How can I add a name/label to any address I store as a favorite in my navigation system? For example, I know how to add the address for Home Depot as a favorite but I can’t figure out how to call it “Home Depot” so I know what that particular address is for.

Go to the favorites menu, press on the favorite that you want to rename and keep pressing until OPTIONS appears. Press OPTIONS and you will see rename. Did it this afternoon so I know it works.

I have a 2021 E-450. Are you in a 2021 E class? This is my first Mercedes so I'm not familiar with previous models but I know many aspects of the tech changed with the 2021 models. I don't understand why they would eliminate the Rename option because without it the favorites feature is useless.

I have a 2021 E. My mistake above, thought you were referring to the system favorites as opposed to the phone favorites. As far as I know, you can’t change the name of a favorite in the phone favorites. Sorry for the confusion.

Actually I'm referring to Navigation favorites (not system or phone). With Navigation favorites I can store destination addresses but it seems that I can not attach a name to each address. What I wind up with is a list addresses but no indication of who each address is for - which makes the whole thing kind of useless.

I don't believe that you can do what you are trying to do. An alternative that you can try is searching for your Home Depot via the POI search or Mercedes Me Connect and SENDTOBENZ function. That should list the name with the address. Try saving that as a favorite and it should work. Also, saving an entry from you phone's address book saves it with the name it is stored under.

Apparently that feature used to exist and may currently exist on other Mercedes models but there is no sign of it on my 2021 E-450. It's hard to imagine that Mercedes would intentionally remove that feature so it's possible it's a software bug.
