The 2020+ GLE V167 people on this site have had some 48V issues.

I bought a 2021 E450 at the end of December. I have about 2500 miles on it. The only issue I have had so far is the black trim around the windows (night package) has already oxidized. I used some Chemical Guys butter wet wax and Jet Seal and it looks pretty good. Part of the ambient lighting did not get plugged in from the factory, but that was fixed in a few minutes. No mechanical issues so far.

Oh okay, thanks for the quick follow up on that.

Just took delivery of the E450 All Terrain yesterday with the 48V system. So far the advantages are that the start stop system is much smoother than any other car I've driven, and that the air conditioning stays on while stopped. The only downside is that sometimes it's really hard to tell if the engine is on or off Not too sure about the long term reliability, but time will tell.

No problems yet at 44k miles on our '19 E53, at least with the mild hybrid system.

I haven't any chatter at all about issues with 48v system.

Worst electrical problem so far is losing internet apps connectivity when the free internet timed out and the dealer can't get full functionality working after 1.5 weeks.
Of the nice features of the 48V system is the seamless start-stop. The GLB250 loaner shows how much better 48 volts are over 12 volts.

I've heard of a couple of early E53's disliking the occupant's choice of cabin temp (they caught on fire) and have read of GLE/GLS concerns. Will be interesting to follow the facelift E's and CLS models.
