E300 2017 - ride comfort advice

I have E300 2017 4MATIC Sport with [677] AVANTGARDE/Standard Suspension, 18" AMG 5-Spoke wheels and Goodyear Eagle Sport Run-On-Flat 245/45R18 tires. I keep the tires pressure as recommended for normal load, 32 PSI all over.
Since day one the car had a stiff ride and I'm at a point that I'd like to trade control/sport feel for softer and more comfortable ride.
If I understand correctly, the factors that contribute to the stiff ride are:
1. Sport (low) suspension
2. Run On Flat tires
3. (maybe?) stiff shock absorbers
I'm interested if anybody with a similar setup had a significant change in ride comfort by changing the tires (to non run flat or different run flat) and if anyone had suspension/shocks changed to soften the ride?dfdfdfAMqG Spoke Wheels All RoundG Spoke Wheels All Round18" vfAMG Spoke Wheels All Round18" AMG Spoke Wheels All Round

You may want to peruse this thread:

I found it somewhat informative. Mine has 20" AMG multi spoke wheels on the Airmatic suspension and in my mind I would prefer the 18" wheels with Pilot 4S non runflats if I could.

Get rid of the run flats. I did for my 2017. Much better ride - - as soft as you are looking for - - I don't know.
I put Continentals on mine. SEEM FINE. MB spare takes up some space in my trunk. Hasn't been a problem.

YMMV.

I have the 2017 E300 Luxury model with 17” rims and softer suspension and still hated the ride with run flat tires. Changed my tires to none run flat Michelin tires and couldn’t be happier. I however have a full size spare, aluminum rapid pump floor jack and tools in my trunk. I couldn’t be happier. Good luck

I just acquired a 2019 E450 Wagon, with the same tires and wheels as above. And, on the fuel filler cover it says that the tire pressure should be 32-39, but on the door pillar it says 40-45.

Which should it be? I'm assuming the door pillar, since that indicates a tire size that matches what is on the car.

Thanks!

I dumped the Michelin run-flat tires that came with my 2018 E400 in favor of "regular" Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires, and the ride, handling, and noise level were very significantly improved.

However, there was a problem — read this extensive thread that I started when I almost immediately had a flat — although NO problems since. Here's the link:

.
I had a similar result with Pirelli Cinturato P7 tires. Any conventional tire will have better ride, handling and noise than a run-flat tire.

Cold pressure means Minimum, it’s a safety thing. The lowest pressure you should ever have is what is stated.

the ride on 18’s is pretty good even on run flats. The 19’s are a bit harsh. Shop around for different tires. There are a lot of different options
