Anyone has this exp that the light on - Steering Malfunction.
This car only run 14000km, and checked by original service...
Now they say need to change the power steering. very costly. Any other suggestion? Thanks for help and advise first~
You do not mention model, model year, etc. MBUSA released 3 recalls and 1 service campaign all of which are covered out of warranty. Not sure if they apply to your market but worth mentioning if failure matches conditions covered.
Bro I'm having the exact same issue on my w213 e350e 2017 ... After turning off ignition for 5-10 mins it works again but the same message appears again bro ... How did you get this fixed? My love of driving a mercedes has faded ... Mine is 18,200km ...
Do not mention Hyirid but recall 2019070013 (only 199 vehicles) & 2019080019 may be applicable.
Visually check electrical connection/harness to steering gear if fine, you may need to replace internal motor or gear assembly but before proceeding have someone pull/clear fault codes. If motor or gear is faulty replacement may involve high voltage procedures & alignment for your vehicle. Note MB does not offer motor separately you will need to identify and search for replacement or search for used steering gear here are gear compatible part #s:
