Bad Rotors at 9400 Miles?

I believe that rotors are considered a "wear & tear" item. The problem is they shouldn't have worn out after less than 10k miles. I don't know if I've ever heard of rotors lasting less than 50k other than age related, which isn't the case here. The dealer &/or MB should make good on it.

I have a 2020 E350 that I leased from my local MB dealer. It was previously a courtesy loaner and had 7500-ish miles on the car when I took delivery of it. I am now at 9500-ish miles and the brakes squeak. Bring it to the dealer and they advise the car could use rotors. I have had the car for 3 months and only put about 2000 miles on it. Dealer wants to replace pads for free but thats not correcting that the rotors are all rusted, and have groves in them. Any advice here?
Your matter is considered wear & tear under 4 year/50,000 mile factory warranty however, I believe this vehicle is considered new regardless of mileage or time elapsed because it was never registered/titled to a private owner so in effect you can argue it should have had a pre-delivery inspection (PDI) requiring visual inspection of brake discs for corrosion. I attached 2021 CLS PDI (only one I have on hand), same for all models. Also, I believe MBUSA warrants defective brake parts for 12 months/12,000 miles on new vehicles which is probably why dealer has so “generously” offered pad replacement.
Bulletin 123a, if discs are replaced corrosion on hubs must also be removed.
Be prepared, dealer may counter no corrosion was found at PDI and/or you caused corrosion per attached bulletin 109, car wash, etc.

Are all MB loaners not titled and sold as new? The loaners from my dealer have normal Florida tags. Dealer tags have the word "DEALER" on the tag instead of "SUNSHINE STATE" or the county name.

As long as this car has an in service date less than 1 year ago, this stuff with the rotors should be corrected free of charge. I've had this happen with other brands.

If defective they should be replaced under warranty.

This is why you never hear of leasing a used Mercedes: the depreciation on a used Mercedes, even a CPO, is so great that - the residual so low - that a new Mercedes will lease out for less, not more, than a new Mercedes.
I agree with konigstiger: a pre delivery inspection should have found this patent problem and it should have been corrected before delivery.
Stick to your guns: If the dealer will not fix the problem at his expense, diligently follow us with MB USA.

Tbh, the rust on you rotors seems normal for a car that is parked outside exposed to the elements. It looks like you are not using the brakes hard enough to properly remove the rust when you drive. Performance brakes like the ones found on MB vehicles work better with hard & short rather than gentle & long application of the brake pedal.
I recommend rebedding your brakes using the procedure outlined here. This should fully remove the rust on the rotor contact surface and eliminate the squeal.
