The wagon has been confirmed to last until 2030, but its place in the US is not confirmed yet. Obviously if we do get it, it’ll be an All-Terrain variant, but the likeliness of the wagon coming to the states is at its lowest yet.

Sadly not, we haven’t had a C-Wagon since the 203 days, and to be honest that was an ugly wagon with a severely hunched back end. I know you guys in Canada got the W205 Wagon in 300 and 43 trims (as well as the sweet E53 Wagon, and A-Hatch), but I think that has also ended with the 206.

ya, I hope they do lower the back end. The 2021 and 2022's lower back end tapers up too much. I don't want to suggest a 'boxy' look but after all, it is a wagon and if it were lower, the storage would be more suitable (and maybe they could consider a space saver spare for once with that extra space!!!)

Just to be clear, the photo posted was not a “Hyperscreen,” it was the basic, center stack screen that virtually every MB will be getting, currently standard in the S Class, SL and EQS models. The term “Hyperscreen” refers to the use of multiple screens going across the entire width of the dash. Here are photos of the EQS with and without the Hyperscreen:

Wow, I really dislike the size of the wood dash on this config. The 223 does a much better job here. It really looks like a giant veneer placeholder for the hyperscreen.
It was most likely the hyperscreen, as a spy photo today captured the "standard" interior. The first photos from the other day appear to have what looks to be glass, and the curvature of the chrome trim on the panel is different than the standard portrait screen interior which eventually intersects with the piano black console. The panel of the photos from the other day appears to be a more flat surface too, indicating one large panel of glass. The hyperscreen is intended to be optional on the EQE (chip shortage is currently impacting availability) so it would be possible to be optional on the ICE E-Class as well. The Hyperscreen will also likely make its way to the S-Class facelift although maybe in a different appearance than other models as the S-Facelift was spied with camouflage over the passenger side of the dashboard.

Agreed. I personally also like the natural wood look, than the pin-striped artificial look of this one.

W214 Interior
and it has a 5+ star rating and the new W214 when it arrives will be like buying a downgrade as it will surely have a battery (besides the starting battery) that will cost about $10k when it dies after the warranty expires
not to mention the obvious turn off for me as the interior that looks anything but inviting! I have been told the starting price will be about $60k (USD).
Regarding the W214, “The juice isn’t worth the squeeze”.

I personally have nothing, for or against, the big screen. It is what it is, and most of the automotive market is heading in that design direction….unfortunately. As long as its functioning is intuitive, I can live with it. Hopefully the rest of the car will be a well integrated and classy product, and not cheapened down.

Looks like an office cubicle circa 1995, lots of plastic with a pc screen in the middle of it all. Folks, if you have a W213 hold onto it. I have a 2019 E300-4matic

I like it. I am sure if this is the direction MB goes in, it will be a lot more seamless, finished, refined, etc. But, as far as the rendering, I like it. Sleek, modern, high-tech, etc. That said, I can't speak to whether MB will offer options or what, however, if they don't, whatever they come out with is going to appeal to the masses -- not the few, select, etc. -- the masses; both the current following, and in the hopes of broadening that group by attracting new followers. Are there people who aren't going to like it? Of course! There has to be. MB does focus groups, feedback forums, and more. Whether evolutionary or revolutionary, they not going to extremism to alienate the majority of loyal followers. Look at client acquisition -- current owner/additional purchase vs. potential owner/new purchase.
