New E-Class looks like a smaller size S-Class (223) from the side. Gorgeous!
As much as I remember in the 223 forum, I do not recall any owner complaining of a problem of a retractable door handle due to frozen ice. After 3 years of the W223, MB should have further improved the operation of these handles.
W223 has traditional handles offered as an option in Germany. But I doubt this will be offered (as standard or option) in the States.

Seems like they corrected the W213 facelift mistake of turning the grille shape upside down. Looks fine with panamericana vertical slats but looks bad on non-AMG cars.

That matches the interior spy shot. So the center screen is more integrated into the dashboard than the S/C class slanted slab screen. Too bad the same can't be said of the gauge cluster.

I have the luxury model, 2019 E450, so naturally I like the front grill! Now if MB puts the upright star on the hood it would be perfect!

The W214 should also give us some hints as to the W223 facelift, as the E typically takes the S-Class' tech and upgrades it for the facelift (ex: W213 got flat panel glass screens before the W222).

I agree, I like the design of the center console of this model more. I wonder if this is an "upgraded" interior option since there were leaked photos of a more "traditional" designed interior similar to non-Hyperscreen EQ models.

In my opinion with the dash design & layout, they are preparing for option “hyper screen” like in EQS or EQE.
Besides that - it will look gorgeous as a smaller version of S class.
Proportions will be better that on S or C class

Now, the next question is, will there be a touring model in the United States? And if so, what will it be. Hopefully not only the plastic clad all-terrain.

Adding my two cents, it is also stupid. The headlight configuration should be determined by whatever positioning maximizes the effectiveness of those lights in illuminating the road ahead.
