Having headlights stay on after turning off car
Hi. Just bought a 2019 E53 Amg. When I turn the engine off, the headlights go off immediately. How do I program the headlights to stay on for a minute or two after turning off the engine?

You read the owners manual and follow the instructions on page 122 to configure the switch-off delay. Owners manuals are available online if you lost your hardcopy. https://www.mbusa.com/en/owners/manuals

Nope, full head and tail lights stay on. They are meant to illuminate one's path and keep the car visible. Some manufacturers call them coming home lights. I've set mine to 60s and everything stays fully lit for a whole minute. There's another setting for how long the interior lights stay on, which I've set to 30s.

What year of W213 are you seeing this appear? I just double checked my 2017 model and I do not have the setting for Exterior light switch delay. I only have interior light switch delay. The only other option is the Illuminator lighting, which is keeping the DRLs/tail lights on with the 15/30/45/60 second setting.

EDIT: Actually it is there in the 2017, but it's called something else and it's a fixed 30 second delay.
