Hello to All, Today while checking the oil levels (maintenance) I noted strange deposits of salts / crystal-like small rocks in front of the radiator - there were a LOT of them. What are these? Is it any malfunction? No malfunction indicator light inside the car, but I am trying to prevent any major problem. Is this something I put water and clean or bring it to a service station and wash it out? anyone had this issue? here are some pictures... any help is greatly appreciated!

road salt...
it looks like this car was driven on rust-belt roads, right?
Have a look under the chassis to inspect rear brake lines for corrosion. Bad old-fashioned steel lines have been subject to rust and pinholes. People affected swap OEM lines for copper lines before failure strike.
Wash down the front aluminum/copper radiators without getting any of your electrical connectors wet.
I remember being in Toronto in February and seeing how so much salt was layered over the road blacktop it looked uniformly white. Yet steel brake lines are not outlawed.

I don't have a recollection of driving in rust-belt roads (but may be the previous owner did!)
