E 300 AMG-Line diesel-Hybrid - 2021
Question Is the hybrid battery only used for driving, or also to power USB ports etc

does a hybrid work in the same way as a non hybrid?
IE; the electricity (for usb ports, cigarette lighter etc) is (only) coming from/via the "traditional" battery and not from the "hybrid battery" ?

I'm trying to figure out if i could hardwire a dashcam, which then feeds off the hybrid battery (when in parking mode)
this way i would not need a dashcam battery pack .

The high voltage battery serves only the electric drive train and a few other components like the HVAC electric heating element. All the rest runs from 12 V and the 12 V battery is not charged from the high voltage battery when the car is parked (not even on an EV).

Am I right to say that there is a 48v battery but no 12v battery? Seems like the 12v comes from the dc to dc step down converter. So is there a 4 to 5 years replacement interval for these 48v batteries? Or do they last 10 years plus like a normal hybrid battery?

Where did you see 48 V instead of 12 in the diagram above? 48 V is for the EQ Boost cars, not EVs or hybrids.

My question was, is there still a 12 V battery in a 48V mild hybrid system? If not, does the 48V batteries last as long as a regular hybrid vehicle which is 10 years or more.
