It's just not in the form of a car:

https://special.mercedes-benz-trucks...ros-ebooklet/#

Why can't we have this in a car. This is what I want from Mercedes across their entire lineup.

I totally get what you are saying, the new Mercedes sedans should be build to at least stand up to city potholes, not everyone drives on smooth roads. The old E class was better on rough terrain, the new E class feels more comfortable on a smooth track than on the city streets with big potholes. I guess thats what SUVs are for.

I don't understand why we can't get a sedan for normal people. It's not a statement piece, it's a vehicle I need that'll be well built, last a lifetime, and that I can abuse. Now Mercedes only produces little princess automobiles. It's not what I want.

Exactly, a family member had a 1995 E320, that sedan was comfortable, had high profile tires and a city suspension. It went over many big potholes and smooth them out. The old Mercedes just seem much more solid and build to a higher standard.

I've had multiple E-classes -- all 4Matic's, all 3 series -- E300 and E350, and there's no doubt in my opinion, my 2013 was more "durable" than my 2018. The 13 felt as if it were "made better" than the 18. Simply reflective of the times, LOL.

Someone should write these guys and tell them to make a car:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daimler_Truck

Apparently they're separate companies. They should build their own car.

2019 E450 wagon: 2019 BMW 430i: 2013 Chevy Traverse: (departed)2013 SL550 & 2019 E450 cab
We are on our sixth E class, going back to the mid '80's; three wagons, two sedans, one convertible. I guess that classifies me as a fan, also have had a couple of 190E's and a couple of SL's in that time frame, but the E has delivered the best 'value' to us in so many ways.

I consider the 2019 W/T213 E450 wagon that we currently have to be the best vehicle since our W124 (which I count as an E) in the late '80's. At first I was upset that I could not find one with the 19" rims, but I will share that the 18" Pirelli has made a believer out of me. 4matic, nine speed transmission, power when you need it, efficient when called upon, just a wonderful motorcar that does so many things in a most competent manner.

For me, Mercedes do build a great vehicle; different than those from the past, but still delivering what I require in flexible mobility at the moment. In that same cited time period, we have also had Suburbans, Yukons, Astro mini van, Acura, BMW, Sierra, Saturn Outlook, and a couple of others, but we have kept a Mercedes product in the garage since we bought our first one. Others may have different experiences, however our preference is for the Mercedes.

MBs today are nice looking bodies surrounding fragile and unreliable junk. Sadly for the brand.

Why can't I just get a normal car from mercedes

Here's the thing. I like mercedes because they are superior vehicles. I don't need the car to talk to me, or monitor me, spray perfume into my face, give head, or do any of the other things mercedes marketing seems to jerk off over.

What I want from mercedes is simply: car. Good car. What does it do? Car things. Now it's like "omg what stupid color do you want, we just invented a new color: vaginal infection rouge". No, I want car. I want explosion proof car. I want a car I can rip a tree stump out of the ground with. Mixed in with German just... bunker design engineering.

Car. Mercedes obviously *can* make said car. Look at the first post. Really look at the link I linked. Why doesn't mercedes make that in a car. What sort of suspension? Suspension suspension. Glass halogen headlights. I don't need lasers in my headlights. Build car, and make it "cheap". I don't care what the modern special ed class, aka tiktok users, think about car. I want car. I don't need radioactive direct injection with plutonium in the cylinders to facilitate ionization of the air. I want a car that I can put fermented **** into, and it'll run. There's no reason mercedes cannot make this, except for retarded federal bureaucrats, whom mercedes has successfully lobbied in the past. I guess you can't argue with a nation for its own sake. Everyone here is paranoid of a technocracy. I wish I knew the word for a society run by the mentally retarded.
