Ship time from port in Germany

Anyone know how long it takes car to arrive to US when it's at the port in Germany? Dealer said 3 weeks but anyone know if that's accurate?

East coast or west coast? It could sit at the port in Germany anywhere between 2 days to 2 months. Sailing time to the east coast is 5-6 days depending on where the car headed.

It's headed to east coast. Would dealer be able to determine when it will be placed on a ship?

Predicting those kinds of things is more art than science these days. They will know when it gets assigned to a ship. At that point it’s usually single digit days until departure. The normal route of travel is a stop in Sweden, a stop in the UK, Canada, NY/ NJ and then GA.

Once the dealer gives you the ships name you can track it in coastal areas via Marine Tracker. On our last two vehicles I have been able to find the boat on webcams in port or passing under bridges entering/leaving port.

Since you bought a C Class, you might try posting in the W206 forum instead of the E Class forum with any other questions.

Now is totally unpredicted, but looks like a very good timing. I ordered my vehicle on December 12th. The order was entered to the factory on late February. The car was in German port in mid March and sat there for one week waiting for a ship. The ship arrived last days of March, but stay in port (in Georgia) for several days waiting to be unloaded. It was finally done in April 3rd and I received my vehicle in Miami on May 5th. They told me my case was pretty good, so three weeks looks very reasonable.

The dealer said they hot tagged the car, but I'm not sure if that helps move it onto a ship.
