Weird Electrical Problems - 2018 e300
The first is that if I turn the lights to the “off” position, the lights remain off until I get out of the car and lock it. Then, the driver’s side headlight will turn on and stay on. If I leave the lights in “auto” mode, both stay off like they should.
The second issue is that I cannot switch to control the driver’s side mirror. The light indicating that I am controlling the passenger mirror stays illuminated when I press the driver side button, and always controls the passenger side.
Finally, the last issue is that the cigarette adapter in the rear console (which I have been using to power a radar detector for about 2 weeks) just stopped having power all of a sudden.
If anyone has any ideas on these issues, I would greatly appreciate it.

Dont mess with HL unless you have the urge to require a dealer visit. Proprietary HL systems are priceless non-standard units.
The dashboard light selector only instructs the SAM where to direct power through CAN.
unable to adjust driver's mirror:
- DCU may be requesting attention
- driver side button module may need attention
- rear cig fuse may supply this circuit
Cig fuses:
The fastest way to waste the cig lighter fuse is to forget the GND side pins can touch the rising positive holders. You need to insert plug so GND pins do NOT contact the (+) pins in the car socket.
This will fry many fuses until you understand this game played against your odds.
🤞
