Hello everyone. I have recently purchased and exported 2021 E300e from Germany. I like everything about this car except for one thing, I constantly get "Active Steering Assist Inoperative" message on the dash and this time it was displayed on multimedia screen as well. Every time it appears it pauses music/radio and loud chime starts sounding. It is very annoying and it appears almost every single day. I have a friend of mine who has similar E300e with driver's assistance package and all other safety equipment and he has never experienced this error.
I have been to my local dealership to diagnose the error but it does not show up on diagnostics device. They also were unable to recreate it.
Has someone experienced something similar? And what might be possible solution?

I’ve had that message, but only during very heavy rain or when snow/ice caked on the “radar” on the grill. Maybe cleaning/wiping down the “radar” will help.
May be best to have MB dealer using Xentry (MB diagnostics) clear all stored fault codes and quick test to retrieve current codes for definitive diagnose/repair, see function attachment. Radar sensor to check:
