Factory reset from dealer menu- lost
Hi Gentlemen
I have reset the system from the dealer menu and I have lost the camera view, apple carplay and more
it’s been default to find someone who can help where I live, I found a guy who can reinstall the coding for around $1000
any help or advice will be much appreciated 🙏
the car is W213 E200 2017

Just go back to MB and tell them something messed up and they will fix it. Don't tell them that you did this yourself or they will charge you to fix it. They should fix it anyways at no cost but they are a business and as such will charge when they feel they should even if they shouldn't.

won't they still see in the log that he decided to play with the dealer menu himself ?

You’ve essentially virginised the car and wiped all the coding.
It will require a dealer reset to recode and reconfigure (or a specialised shop or auto-electrician with Xentry). I know because I’ve done it once myself on my former car several years back- stupid videos on YouTube show how to do it but don’t explain the context of what this reset actually does (I was trying to fix a glitch on my car at the time).
It cost me a few hundred (Australian) dollars to fix and the dealer needed the car for a day. They did a few software updates as a bonus because I was a regular favourite customer and they felt a little sorry for me. They also washed my car and joked about it being the most expensive car wash ever.![Big Grin](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
You live and you learn… good luck!
