CPO

I purchased a MB extended warranty for 3 years, 75,000 miles, no deductible for $2,200. In December, 2022 my car had only 30,000 miles, so an additional 45,000 miles for 3 years was more than sufficient. I think for 100,000 miles, it was a couple of hundred dollars extra.
Hope this helps.

Only you can answer that question for you.
My 2020 E450 currently has ~15K miles and its factory warranty runs thru 09/23 with additional 1-yr CPO warranty ending 09/24. Hence through the next 18 months of usage, the reliability or otherwise will determine if I go for additional extended warranty or not.
As an anecdote, my 2013 SLK350 has been solidly reliable. Car was purchased as CPO in Jan 2017 with only 1900 miles, went out of warranty in Jan 2018, and has been cared for with regular scheduled maintenance and the usual replacements - brakes, tires, etc. Now at 107K miles, the car is trouble-free and a joy to own. Will I expect similar reliability for my current E450?
Time shall tell.

The bottom line is that as a whole actual repairs cost less than extended warranties.

I bought the extra 2 years for my CPO 2021 E450 (purchased about 2 months ago) and I recommend it for any German vehicle. You can do better than $3k from Jeff Jackson (mentioned several times in most extended warranty threads on MBWorld - contact details below) plus he is super cool and very easy to work with.
BTW, don't believe the F@I guy when he/she tries to push you to getting their package - you have 30 days to add it and you can do this from any MB dealership. When I bought mine he said things like "you have to get it now or else it will cost 20% more", "You can't get it from anyone but the dealer you bought the car from" "this is std MB pricing, you cant ge't a better deal" etc all of which were BS. He even made me sign a "waiver of liability" form saying that I "knowingly declined the offered extended CPO warranty". Another pretty high pressure sales tactic.

I also had 3 tires and two wheels covered on the wheel and tire insurance -> this was before the MB dealer F@I guys realized how much they could get for this package. I don't recommend getting this from the dealer. AAA offers wheel and tire, ding and dent PDR AND Key replacement all in one package. Dealer quoted me ~$2k for 1 year for just wheel and tire, I bought the AAA package for 5 years at just under $1k.

The OP was looking at a 2021 model in 2023. The car had coverage until Jan. 2025 OR when it hit 50k miles. Ironically, his post did not say how many miles the car had, LOL. Regardless, once the current CPO ended, he had an additional 12 months, unlimited mileage. He was looking at an additional 2 years after that -- for $3000 -- but all of that info isn't relevant for him to make the decision. His question was is it "worth the money" -- and the answer is, all factors considered, to some it is and to some it is not.
