Their fast fast tires are on par with the best CS7 and Sport Cup tires right now they have their own facility in France just to test these guys. Goodyear in this decade hasn't been a slouch at all. Most relevant to us are UHP A/S since we have to daily drive these things and condition is a greater boon on high speed sedans than absolute grip most of the time

Thanks for the video. Tyre Reviews also made a video on the new Pilot Sport 5 S? or S 5?

I keep my tires inflated cold at 35 PSI, in the summer and winter.

Maybe my excellent mileage is do the the fact that I have 18 inch and not the 19 inch wheels? I also accelerate very slowly and anticipate braking.
Driving habit definitely helps/affects the wear as well as tire pressure, maintenance like alignment, rotation, it also depends on the weight of the vehicle (sedan vs wagon) as well as if the vehicle is constantly loaded up with cargo/passengers.

What are the main differences between Pilot Sport 5S and Pilot Sport S5, apparently it is different?

Pirelli? Nope!

My 2019 E 300 came with Pirelli run flats and I hate them. They’re noisy, ride hard, etc.

I can’t wait for them to wear out so I can get Continentals!!!

S5 is an OE tire made to the car, Aston Martin and Ferrari will get them on the newest cars coming out.
5S is what we eventually get for our cars in a few months. I don't use UHP summers anyway, I used to replace those annually. It'd be $100/mo for tires pretty much per car.

I dunno what you guys got but the Pirelli Cinturato's were particularly awful.

Do you have the 18 inch or 19 inch wheels?

I have Pirelli on my 18 inch wheel and have none of the problems you have described.

I’ve had people ride in my car and ask if I’ve got bad wheel bearings because the tires are so loud

I see, sure is confusing I would have to say. Why don't they have something that distinguish a brand like MB with MO and BMW with a Star instead? (Come to think of it, why isn't it the other way around).

well unless youre a 1%'er you probably will never experience the S5 lol since they're on the superest of cars, every car's S5 is potentially a different tire. The OE tires for so many vehicles are awful until you get to supercars where the sidewall is built for the weight balance and sidewall loading that the host vehicles produce

it's equally confusing for Porsche and Audi OE tires too.

So just back from an 1,800 mile round trip to Wisconsin for the Road America historic races. Great event if you have never been, I am attaching a couple of photos which you may find of interest. The Michelin Primacy Touring A/S ZP tires were simply tranquil. Almost no noise, great in the rain, providing an effortless trip. Now we shall see how long the tires last in my driving style. I tend to do day trips in this wagon, not so much around town, so it will be intriguing to follow. Stay tuned for more updates.

Ferrari 410S: driven by Shelby, Hill, Ginther, Gregory and others. Beast of a motor car.

Jaguar XK140 OTS: exquisite.

Nice pictures, thanks for sharing, the Jag is simply beautiful.

I was thinking about installing those Michelin Primary A/S Touring on my wife’s SUV, I heard a lot of good things about them, thanks for sharing your experience with them.

Just to add to the list, I just had a 2nd tire replaced with a sidewall bubble, that's two in 6 months - same Pirelli Cinturatos. Thank god I got a tire and wheel pkg! Car feels like a new machine, that bubble must have been there a while.
I really don't like these tires at all. Ridiculously loud, not very responsive or smooth and obviously fragile.

The trouble is, if I keep having to replace them like this I'll never be able to put something better on because they will always be like new! Which reminds me, I really should rotate them back to front so that the rears get some love too. I am a bit concerned that the company running the coverage that I got will eventually start refusing claims even though there is no maximum coverage limit for wheels and tires. They do have a limit on key replacement at I believe 3 over 5 years.
