Um ok, I had my 2019 E300 4matic serviced by the local Mercedes Benz dealership last Tuesday. They said that they reset the service system and I didn’t really think anything about it until today I looked on the app and it said my next service was at 25,000 miles? Seriously??? Anyone know what’s going on?
This is pointless w/o more information. What's the current mileage of the car? Service interval is every 10k miles or 12 months, whichever comes first. So if the car was serviced at 15k miles, then the next one is due at 25k miles or 12 months. For low mileage cars, the app will start showing a date and counting down the days once it realizes the car won't be driven 10k miles in 12 months. That's the case with my C63 for example as shown below.
Sounds like they goofed something up when they reset it. Not sure if all 2019 models were affected, but my 2019 C63 needed a software update early on, because the service reminder wasn't resetting correctly.
The "service due in x miles" does not refer to the odometer reading for the next service but the miles allowed from the current odometer reading. I understand the odd thing is why was the service reminder reset to 25 000 miles if the US service program is once a year or "less than 25 000 miles".
My car shows 24 000 km to next service, obviously set to 25 000 km when reset. This is the European service plan for "clean countries". On the EQS forum someone reported the car showing kilometres instead of miles but this was not for the miles to service but the range figure. Cannot be the same error, specifically since the car also shows 25 000 miles. I just thought service had no option to reset service counter to any higher figure than 25 000 km, difficult to see where the figure came from.

Yeah, but there is some confusion on a car like mine:
Last year I had a 40k mile B service, but only had 10k on the odometer. (This service was free, previous owner had purchased a Pre-Paid Service Package)
This year it will be a 50k mile service but only 15.3k miles on the Wagon.
Tried to call the dealer to get details on what to expect, price- wise and time-wise, but they won’t tell me over the
phone. (Rolling eyes icon)

Low mileage cars should go by time. High mileage should go by mileage. Do not mix & match. Some things wear out over time, not mileage such as brake fluid (absorbs moisture).
So last year you had the 4th year service and this year it will be the 5th year service.
I recently had my 6th year service with 20k miles on the odometer.

I was thinking that I should go by time as well. I have 26k on my 2018. When did you get spark plugs replaced? The dealer said that he would normally recommed replacing them but my car had so few miles he didn't think it was worth pushing. I plan to keep the car for a while so I don't want to short change the maintenance. But obviously I don't want to pay for services I don't need.

On my August service visit the dealer recommended that the spark plugs NOT be replace due to the low mileage and it would be a waste of money. I've used this dealer for over 40 years so I trust their judgement.
