E200D Retrofitted widescreen question

Hello!
I Retrofitted a widescreen in my w213 today.
I've seen you could choose between three designs on the Widescreen, but on mine there is only one design.
The people who installed and coded it said it was the only one and there was no more.

Is that true? Or did they code it wrong?
Or do I need comand to get the other designs?

I have audio 20 with internet (no comand).

My old screen.

The new

Only one design

No designs

Car looks weird in the display

Apparently he made it AMG menu too.

I believe you need NTG 5.x version of Comand to be able to get everything. What version do you have?

Go to home button, then system, then display and designs, then designs, you should see spot, which is AMG, then classic digital display on analog gauge then progressive. You are in progressive and appears don’t have the others to select from. Progressive and AMG are basically the same with AMG red while Progressive blue.

What needed to be done in order to retrofit the new screen other than coding and buying a new screen? Did you have to do any wiring or buy any other components?

That’s it however some may have the led light at both top and bottom of the screen, while some only have at either top or bottom, can’t remember which one. Word to the wise, be careful of aftermarket screens, I have seen where there are issues coding and especially with the correct mileage switch to new screen.

I'd only buy OEM directly from Mercedes. They should all come with the upper and or lower or both LED strips. I was just wondering if any additional cabling/modifications are needed or just the display unit and coding.

Will Mercedes dealers do the coding or will I have to go to a mechanic who has STAR/Xentry to code it?

Ok, great on OEM, however I doubt it very much MB dealership will do the retrofit and coding. They want you to get a new vehicle. Your best bet is a mechanic that’s able to do the coding. Worst case scenario which I think is what maybe all these members have done, is purchasing and installing the screen yourself or a shop that can do that. Then have the coding done remotely by one of the vendors advertising on this forum. I have helped connecting a couple members before. You can contact me directly and I would be happy to assist you
