2018 E300 Sedan - Sport Styling vs Luxury Line
(My preference is Luxury Line. There was apparently no difference in cost between options when the 2018 models were introduced.)
What is the difference between Sport styling and Luxury Line?
Does Sport tilt car front slightly lower to the ground than Luxury and requires staggered tires?
Is there a known aftermarket change (and still available now in 2024) to replace the sport grill with a standard grill and in adding the raised 3-point star on hood?
(I really like the standard grill and raised star on hood look. It’s an attractive, classic MB sedan look.)

The facia on the Sport is 1/2 lower than the luxury. Might make a difference when parking with tire stops. I have the luxury and have not problem. With the sport it might hit.
The difference is cosmetic, different front grill and no star on hood.
According to KBB.com a 2018 E300 4-matic with 50K miles is currently worth about $22,000. It might not make sense to modify because of the cost.
Hope this helps

Also, is there a way to swap out the sports grill with standard so that I don’t have a star on hood and the star embedded sports grill?
I would prefer buying a used Luxury Line…in my local market (SF Bay Area) it’s difficult finding Luxury…reason for wanting to know differences and whether grill conversion is possible today and where to go.
Thank you!

Cost of swapping out grills on a 7 year old car vs. the value of the car does not make financial sense.
In our area, Metropolitan NY, sport styling outsold luxury at least 10 to 1. Most luxury stlying, like mine were special orders. That is why they are hard to find. For stock, dealers ordered the sport styling.

The S Class does not.
That is why I choose the luxury which is the classic grill found on the S Class
From the front with the sport grill you cannot tell the difference between a C and E Class!
Nothing more to add.

How do I modify grill from sports to luxury? Do I buy a specific standard grill fron MB Parts and have a reputable body shop make the change…what would be an estimated price range? (Adding the on hood star seems easy enough…about $65-70 from MB Parts.)
Thank you!

Seems like this would be the most convenient (and cost effective) way to restore a more standard/luxury grill and to add the 3-point star back on the hood.
It’s hard to find luxury grill 2018 E300 sedans in my market. And adding a 3-point star on hood to a sports grill version (< $100 part cost) doesn’t look right to me having star on star.

Same here, my 2017 is Luxury and that’s exactly what I wanted. Ended driving almost 200 miles round trip from New Jersey to New York to purchase mine with the exterior color option combined with interior color option and P3 package I wanted with the dual digital displays. In my opinion, the interior is nicer especially the dash. It’s entering its 8 year now, just cleared 41,000 miles and still loving it.
Did quite a bit of software upgrades, wheels change and added a 32 channel DSP ( digital processing amplifier) with 2 overhead tweeters replacing the sunglasses holder. 3d rotating speakers in the door, LED turbine air vents. I couldn’t be happier with my car. This is the 1st time in over 30 years that I have kept a car for longer that 3 years. Within that timeframe, only 3 were leased.
