Just wanted to share my front-end of my E300

It is the very reason I bought it in Stuttgart because it was different from the ones I saw in the USA- which had the regular grill with no Mercedes logo in it and the star emblem on the hood.

In my opinion this just looks so much more sportier with a sexy front-end. I haven't seen many of these :-)

Really! They are literally all over the place in the US. I see the sport grill far more than the luxury grill on the C-class and E-class. In fact, you can only get the sport grill on the W214 in North America. Likely because when there was the option for both, the sport outsold the luxury by a large margin. I believe the S-class only comes with the luxury option.

Obviously everyone has their own opinions and tastes. Mine is that on the E-class, the luxury grill and hood star are much better looking. It's not a sports car IMO and I bought it for luxury. If I wanted a sports sedan, I would buy an AMG. Don't get me wrong. The sports grille looks great but the luxury grille is more the classic MB look.

I guess the S class still has amg line and the avantgarde I think MB calls but yes you do get the standing star on both versions.

It is truly hard to believe that you've had your vehicle since 2017... The overwhelming number of W213s sold in the US are the sport model like the one you showed in the photo. If you are out driving, finding a W213 with the upright hood ornament (the Luxury Model) is a rare sight.

The take rate for the luxury model is so rare that MBUSA discontinued even allowing the W214 Luxury Model to be sold here -- its the non-hood ornament only model. Whether I like that or not isn't the issue.

I literally have the same exact spec/grill/hood/everything as you do on my other E300 that was bought in the USA. All E300 sports look like that in Europe and in the US of A. I still don't know what you're trying to prove to people about "i bought it in Stuttgart..." I can bet my left kidney that you did not buy it in Europe and that you've bought it in the US. As I've mentioned before shipping and insurance is free from Mercedes when you pay to do the experience with MB to drive your car in Europe first. You mentioned in a previous post that all you had to do is "pay shipping" which is false.

@Billyismyname You are wrong about MB's free shipping. Shipping is free only if car is purchased in USA for EU delivery. Purchasing in The EU from MB or any EU dealer does not include free shipping. BTDT

I have been a mechanic for over 20 years for MB and before that I was in sales and worked overseas (Germany) sales as well exporting to the US. You are wrong about almost everything you talk about and further more I have been talking to Massimo, he has given me hes information, Vin etc, it was in fact bought in Stuttgart. Not only that I read all your nonsense talk about the piston rings, you are wrong on that as well, it only affected a small amount of people in the US, mostly C class and GLA from 2015-2016, a few E class's! Massimo's car does not have the defective parts that has been verified as well. Man you need a life, I have to admit you do sound like a nutjob that just makes things up out of your butt. I personally did the MB delivery program before they shut it down, and my uncle did it as well. We did not pay for transport. We are from Europe so it gave us an added benefit to visit Germany and our families. Not sure why it's so hard to grasp the concept that Massimo DID NOT buy his car in Europe and have it delivered to the US. He should've looked up what's included and what isn't included with the delivery program before lying to people.

You lied about your mom having a Gasoline E300 in Germany that has over 300,000 miles without a single issue, you lied about paying for transportation fees to the US for the delivery program when in fact it's free (i posted a screen shot directly from Mercedes website to prove it to you), you think that putting 91 octane fuel will blow up a car that takes 93, and you made a fake account to make it sound like people agree with you.

I'm not a mechanic nor do I play one on TV so I'm not weighing in on mechanical issues etc that have been debated. It just seems unusual to me that Massimo only recently joined the forum and yet so many of his questions and comments are like those of someone who's recently acquired a W213. Massimo steadfastly asserts that he bought his new in Stuttgart but his posts cause me to be dubious. I've been a member on this forum since getting my w213 new in 2018 and I've seen a lot of the commentary by new owners and I have a general idea of what those types of comments look like. And here you are Mercedes Mech, an S63 AMG owner and you and Massimo have partnered up so quickly sharing personal details so that you can attest to Massimo's statements about when and how his Mercedes was acquired.

I trust UA549 implicitly because he has shown himself to be a fount of knowledge about the W213 specifically and Mercedes'/BMWs generally but I'm not sharing a copy of my bill of sale with him or any other personal details even after 7 years.
