2017 Mercedes E300, can you retrain the voice command? 🤔
I have a 2017 Mercedes E300, I'm wondering if you can retrain the voice commands like when pressing the button on the steering wheel and saying- call name or navigate to .....?
It doesn't always get it right and on my old w212 E350- you can retrain your voice for better accuracy by speaking a list of numbers and phrases.
I'm aware I can do a reset and I've done that but it didn't help; maybe it's just on this w213?? :-)

Retraining Voice Recognition
Probably can retrain COMAND but definitely can't retrain MBUX. I really studied the MBUX menues and there is no voice training. Another screw up in the newer MBUX (2021) implementation.

MBUX voice assistant uses AI to understand various accents. No voice training is needed.

Voice training (comand) works better than AI (MBUX)
My 2021 E350 (MBUX) misfires (gets totally confused about what I want), or just asks me what I want when I didn't even invoke it, about 1 out of 5 uses. My 2014 E350 (W212 Comand), which I trained, worked fine - no misfires.
1 step forward, 2 back seems to be the theme of their Software team. Check out all the threads on Software problems with the new models (W214 threads).

My 2025 with MBUX 3.x will sometimes get confused and think I said the wake word when I didn't. Usually when I have several others in the car and we are all talking. I've turned it to only listen to the driver but it's not perfect. Works much better when I am alone but I sometimes sing and had to turn off the feature that doesn't require a wake word when alone. I was in a drive through once and she started talking and I had to tell her to shut up. The person working the window thought I was talking to her. I had to explain that the car talks to me
The new system is not perfect but works well most of the time. I use it all the time.
