E450 Indicator warning
Hi all, sometimes about once every 2 weeks I drive my car and the right turn indicator comes up with a warning, it tells me to check the rear indicator bulb.
When I go to the rear and check the indicators are working even with the warning, and flashing at the correct speed.
It shows on the dash flashing fast.
Has anyone encountered this?
Thanks

I was wondering if it might be a dry connection, I have been looking at specific scanners for the Mercedes as well as the star system, I had all the software for my BMW but Mercedes are new to me.
Seems everyone has a different view on scanners, do you have a preference for a bi directional scanner at the higher end over maybe 400-500 mark?
Thanks again

Then a month ago, it started happening to both sides, randomly only one side or the other, and more frequently, like every other time I drove the car. The car was at the dealer for a recall, and I asked them to update all the software and modules, they told me everything was already up to date. Also around this time, I noticed the car would give battery low/critical more often, whereas before it only popped up if I washed the car and cleaned the inside with the doors open and all the electronics not going to sleep.
So I changed out the battery and no more indicator light malfunction messages. The battery was disconnected from the car for a day, not sure if that reset something also that could have been causing the indicator light malfunction messages.

My main car (BMW, Merc) stay in the garage for most of the week on a tender as I work away Monday till Thursday and rarely drive it at weekends.
Guess it's just one of the draw backs I have to deal with
Thanks
