Planning to get my E400 serviced, recently purchased not sure what previous services were done and when so gonna do them all. If anymore can guide me through this in terms of what parts I’ll need. I have a trusted shop to do it for me but I’d like to purchase the parts myself. I see this kit here but the site is saying it does not fit my car and recommends parts for a 7 speed, that’s gotta be wrong right?
I have a 2018 E400 wagon and at 36k miles I had the automatic transmission serviced, using the transmission kit I bought from FCP Euro for $281 + tax and free shipping. That kit has the Liqui Molly fluid and not the MB fluid. The one with the MB fluid is about twice the price and the only thing that's different is the fluid. I also had the rear differential fluid changed at that time using MB gear oil (I wasn't sure what other oil was correct), which was quite pricey.

im getting some mixed information regarding this service. Some are saying it’s unnecessary and possibly risking to do a full flush and to just change the fluid only. Others saying the machine flush is much better. Thoughts?
This is the kit I was going to order but it does not include the special tools you need to refill the transmission

All I know is that I took the automatic transmission service kit to my indy and asked him to do the service using the kit. I don't know what the machine flush is.

Do not do a machine flush.
Remove the torque converter screw, drain the TC fully.
Remove the transmission oil pan.
Replace the transmission oil pan with a new one.
Add 10 QTS of transmission fluid.
Get the car up to temp (30 deg C i believe)
Bleed the valves
Turn key on transmission pan to position 3 I believe to set correct oil level.
You do not want to flush the transmission fluid because you can cause damage to the valves and the internal components of the transmission by pushing dirty debris everywhere. These transmissions are very tightly build and huge tolerances/clearances aren't a thing on the 9 Speed tranmissions.
