2024 W214 E Class Prices Pad - Discounts
I will start - I got roughly 5% off MSRP. I was told this is not a common discount as this was the last car of the month that pushed the salesperson over the bonus so they were willing to do the discount. I basically called them and said if you sell it to me for invoice, I will buy it. They said yes if I can take delivery by the end of the month (Feb).

I have not seen other colors on the the E. At this time, I think if you want other color, you have to order. I am not ready to buy yet and still planning for the end of the year. I would wait for 6 months to see how well the car is sold and if any possible early recall. I look for dark blue color.

MSRP isn't MVSP
Dealers have been using euphemisms of MSRP like your "Market Value Selling Price" to charge more than MSRP.
Do you know what the MSRP of your vehicle is? - You may have not received any discount.

So is 5% the most anyone has gotten off the MSRP? I have reached out to several dealerships and asked about ordering one and if there was any pricing flexibility. I am having a hard time even getting a sales person to call me back. Also, one sales guy said he didn't know if it applied to new E, but that sometimes they offer up to $2,500 off if you have an AMEX. I had not heard of that before.

"I have no idea why they called it that."
It's because the dealers don't want to relinquish their successful money grab process used over the last few years.
Trying to retrain the consumer to pay what the dealer indicates and not focus on the manufacturer's MSRP.
I'm sure they are still successful using the same form / euphemism to charge over MSRP on high demand vehicles like the G Wagon.
The good news is that you obtained a real 5% discount, marking the beginning of the end of paying over MSRP.

In January, before I could touch and feel the W214, and before the price of the car itself was available (the price of the options was available), my salesman offered to order a E450 sedan to my specifications with no deposit. If I didn't want the car when it came in, I would have no obligation to buy it. We didn't discuss selling price, but I assumed there would be no discount. I would be getting the car right around now. I passed on the offer, and ordered a Porsche Macan S which I'll take delivery of in about a week. I didn't like the idea of waiting nearly 4 months for a car that I might not want and have to start the process all over again with another car.

2025 E Class
No, not yet…. This is just disappointing. I took my 2021 E450 in for service this week and the new E was STILL;
- None on the show floor… none
- Non-sales personnel non conversant, or unaware, the E was new for 2024.
- Sales “estimated” 3 months for custom ordered E450.
So a July/August delivery. WTF. Announced as available “before year end” last year. Press reviews released last year July.
What a disappointing launch.

All 3 of the metro dealers have more ev's than ice E's on the lot. Clearwater has 22 E350's and only 1 E450. Tampa has 9 E350's and 1 E450. St. Petersburg has 18 E350's and no E450's.

At this point, I feel like my local BMW dealer would have been able to get me a 540i much quicker, heck I might have even gotten an M3 allocation.

I visited a dealer 54 miles from my 'local' dealer because its a bigger city. wanted to see if they had anything and also curious about the cle. like most non major markets I presume they had 2-3 [I forget since I have no interest in the 350] E 350's in. all in the usual boring colors black, silver, and one in the new alpine gray. a sales person came out almost immediately and we started the dance. she said the there were no cle's yet, maybe June. no 450's, maybe June. blah blah blah. I asked about ordering prospectively and she said they usually get one slot they can change the build on per month. she also implied that the E does not sell well [no sedan does] and that they expected many more 350s to be available than 450s. dispiriting to say the least but that's the sedan market now. and the coupe market is far worse. I am thinking that its more likely that I will wait for the fall to order if possible. I know some manufactures are already selling 2025 models so maybe they will ramp up in the coming months. and maybe the lack of sales will inspire some decent discounts.

Here in my Orlando dealership, I am supposedly first in line for an E450 and my production date is next month. My salesman says they should have it by June but I wouldn't be surprised if it got pushed out further. I put down my deposit last December so it's been over 6 months. I am unsure why MB's rollout of the new E is so slow when they originally said they would start deliveries in Q1.

Did your order actually go in when you placed the deposit in December? Did you get a PO number at that time? I heard the first of the new E-Class models did not arrive until March 23rd. I put an order in for a E450 on April 17th and got my PO on the 18th. I do not have a build date yet but I'm told I will in the next couple of days. My dealer is estimating late August delivery. I sure hope it's not 6 months from now.
I think if I had gone with a E350, I'd have gotten it by mid April but the E450 seems to be rolling out extra slow.

Just custom ordered my E450 (Obsidian Black metallic/Macchiato Beige at my local dealership). Build date is towards the end of June, with a delivery date probably late August. This particular dealership currently has no E450 on the lot, and a few other dealerships I checked do not even have any allocations to order E450 yet.
