2020 E450 Wagon
Chatting with one of my local dealers, final vehicle price is TBD but option prices are finalized. I'm hoping we'll finally get all the updated info on June1st but with MBUSA one never knows

2018 S560 and 2019 E450 Wagon.
Surprisingly the new 214 E450 appears to be much faster, according to this article 12.8 in the quarter mile, thats at least a half second faster than the older 213's. What does everyone think of the Verde Green pictured here in this article. I'm kinda leaning more towards the Alpine Gray. Also one last thing for anyone in the know. As I said above I'm looking for a loaded 214 wagon, but I'd really prefer to just with 18 inch wheels, I like the way smaller wheels with higher profile ride better, especially on bumpy roads up north. Is that possible to get a Pinnacle version loaded but with only 18 inch wheels for anyone who has so far gone through the ordering process?

According to the order guide, smallest wheels are 19". That is not to say one could not buy their own Benz wheels.

Just pulled up the ordering guide. Yes see that with the 19 inch being the smallest but looks like they are 255-45-19 so plenty of sidewall unlike the 240-40-19's on my 2019 E450. Also I notice the new HiFI is the 4D so hopefully it sounds pretty good. Looks like that STD system is the only one available with the Wagons at least but has dolby Atmos and other features so it might be good enough.

Yeah, 4D is standard on the wagon but optional on the sedan. Air suspension is also standard on the wagon and with all these items being standard on the wagon but options on the sedan explains why the wagons cost $6K + more than a sedan

Interesting, makes sense. It'll be interesting to see in time how people think the 4D system sounds in their new wagons. I welcome the air suspension as my current 2019 E450 with the luxury package rides surprisingly harsh, although handles very well and has great road feel. Would like something a little more complaint.

The W213 wagons had rear air suspension standard. My only concern with air suspension is when they have issues they are very expensive to repair so make sure to get an MB extended warranty to at least cover one to 7 years and X miles. Since COVID, I don't drive more than 5K miles per year. When I had a 2020 E450 wagon I bought a MB extended warranty for 7 years/70K miles for only $2200. I'll be doing the same if I get a new wagon.

MY25 Base MSRP is not available yet, Best Guess $78,000 base plus options . My order has over $23,000 in factory options, so yes we are over $100K for a loaded MY25 All Terrain with dual zone A/C. I guess chip shortage is still in play as to no 4 zone system

Not economical but there is little else (Audi A6 wagon) to compete with it and in my opinion, its much nicer than the A6 wagon and the only one I'd buy. My budget is mid $80's so the higher the MSRP price, I'll need to prioritize my wants and needs more My wife wants a new vehicle as well at the end of the year and she's looking at a BMW X3.

GLE
I don't think it's the chip shortage as you can order 4-zone climate on any model (sedan, wagon, all terrain) in Europe. It is however part of a package, which isn't the case e.g. for the GLE where you can order it separately.

My wagon is due to arrive next month. Does anyone know of a trailer hitch for this new model?
looks like the Euro models have an electrically retractable hitch as an option, but I cant find any details of it being available here..
thanks

They are totally different designs and weight specs, Euro versus US. In most EU designs, the tow ball and the mounting structure that attaches to the vehicle's chassis are a single, integrated unit (towbar). This is different than the US designs, where the trailer hitch system often includes a ball mount as part of a larger assembly. Look at Stealth hitches. I know they make hitches for the W213 wagons but might not be out yet for the W214's as they are so new.
