Anyone Ordering W214 Wagon?

I considering getting a new car in Q1 next year and was wondering if ordering is open for the new wagon? Has anyone decided to pull the trigger on the new wagon?

I probably would have bought the wagon if it was out at the time I bought my sedan.

Did you order your sedan or get one off the lot?

Off the lot. It was equipped pretty much like I wanted and I got a great discount. (I posted about it)

If it had what you wanted, why not for sure. When I bought my W213 wagon most dealer stock was either fully loaded or were in white or black with a black interior which was not for me. In the end I found exactly what I wanted 1200 miles away and did a fly and drive to get the new vehicle. This time I'll probably order so I can get exactly what I want.

I just read your post about your purchase and the nice 5% discount you got. Wish you the best with the new wheels.

2025 E450 All Terrain
Decided to check out the W214 board and making my first post! I plan to order a W214 wagon next year when the lease is up on my 2022 All Terrain. Too bad MB does not have the configurator up yet for the 2024 All Terrain. Another interesting side note -- my MB dealer sent me an email offering to buy out my All Terrain a year early b/c they are looking for used car inventory. I didn't ask how much they were willing to pay since I have no intention of selling. But based on a quick search on Autotrader, looks like used car prices on the All Terrain are holding up well (about $60k to $70k for similar models as mine).

I wish the wagons had rear wheel steer as an option.

I was leasing my 2020 W213 E450 wagon and three months before the end of my lease I stopped by both my local MB dealers to see what they would offer for my wagon instead of turning it in and walking away with nothing. One dealer totally low balled me so walked but the other told me they had a guy who was looking for a 19 or 20 wagon with under 20K miles and well looked after. My car only had 12K miles and change and was in mint condition with all services done. In the end they offered me $55K for it and my buyout was almost $42K so decided to sell it and walked away with $13K.

I made the mistake of test driving a friend at work who bought a Lexus IS500. I was hooked. Interior was very nice but a little dated which I didn't mind and the exterior was very nice looking. The most interesting part of the car was the 5.0 litre naturally aspirated V8. It was quiet and comfortable in Eco mode but when one puts it into Sport+ it become a screaming beast when you put your foot down. It is rear wheel drive and hauls @ss. They are only making 1000 for each of the three years they are making it then the V8 will be gone as Lexus does away with them. They are available in 2022, 2023 and 2024. While I love driving the car the back seat is cramped and trunk is not very big either. I really miss my E450 wagon and plan to keep my IS500 for two years and enjoy it and then get the new E450 wagon. The IS500's seem to be holding their value really well. I paid $65K for it and I've seen several used ones for sale with low miles going for between $58K and $63K. May will be one year for me and it only has 2849 miles on it. I only drive it on weekends and I work from home so no commuting.

Agree about the lack of configurator for the wagon. I think I read the wagons won't land until May/Jun so we probably won't see the configurator until Jun knowing MBUSA Good luck with your order and let us know what and when you order.

I read that it would impede on the cargo space which is why it is not offered on the wagon.

Maybe that's partly why the RS6 Avant has slightly less cargo space.

I believe the recently unveiled E53 wagon has RWS; perhaps the hybrid bits result in an altered cargo area for that model anyway.

Personally I have no love for RWS and am very glad it isn’t included on the AT. Planning to get another when the lease is up on my current one exactly a year from now. Hoping 4-zone climate makes it to the US market for 2025, or will reevaluate.

The current AT has optional 4-zone climate, do you know that the new wagon doesn't?

Yes, mine has it, and I use it frequently. Order guides for the US W214 and S214 (and US configurator for the W214) do not have the option. It is currently available in other markets, so I am hopeful it will eventually be available here as well.

In the EU 4-zone climate control is only available as part of the highest option pack, on the sedan as well as the wagon. On other models (e.g. the GLE) you can add it separately as an option.

Where are the order guides posted?

What an odd thing to leave off the US version (4-zone climate).

I'm considering a new E-wagon. Spoke with the local dealer this morning (4/2), was told they have 1 allocation, but no pricing or build date and no further information on availability or ordering timeframes. I suspect some deals could be had on the 2023s sitting around, but I think I'd rather wait for the W214...

Yeah I'm with you. My local dealer has no 2023s on the lot either though, so even though I could be tempted at the right price, I'll probably wait a year or two if I don't get anything now, to see if I can snag a low mileage one someone trades in or off-lease.

If you are interested in a 2023, look at MB Of Akron in Akron OH. I leased my 2020 from them and I'm in Texas. They were super easy to deal with and I kept expecting the other shoe to fall and it never did. A total 5 star experience. I flew into Akron and they picked me up at the airport and I drove my wagon home.

They have two loaded 2023 AT wagons for sale from their loaner fleet. Both have under 4K miles on them and they are offering 8.5% discount on MSRP. I bet you could squeeze a bit more out of them. When I leased mine, the GM's wife had been driving it for five months and it had 1100 miles on it and I got 10% off MSRP.

Thnx! Do the loaner fleet cars come with a full factory warranty, or just CPO?

I also see Akron has a 2023 E63S AMG with 349 miles on it, for a cool $179k, but I don't think the wife would go for that one unfortunately :-) Looked at both wagons, but even at %10 off, I think I'd rather order a 2024 exactly how I want it. I like the blue, but not the chrome, I like the black trim package. Wish there was an option to delete the plastic wheel arch add-ons...

Yes, they have not been registered so they have the full warranty from a time perspective but the miles will be counted. So, if it has 2K Miles on it, the warranty will be 4 years/48K miles. I was able to purchased the MB extended warranty as well and it was considered on a brand new car. The discounts are decent but yes, if the cars are not something you really want then even a great deal doesn't matter. Personally, I'm going to wait to order a 24 wagon myself and get exactly what I want. I love the look of the new wagon but obviously, have not driven it yet.

I saw the E63 but $179K is seriously out of my budget. If I got it, I'd be living in it as my wife would kick me out of the house LOL!

Actually, the salesperson wasn't the problem. It was management and the way they handled everything. Again, YMMV

That is interesting. Because I was in Texas they organized a local notary public to come to my house for me to sign all the paperwork and I also provided him a check for my cap cost reduction and sales taxes. It was easy and simple. When I got there four weeks later my car was ready and all paperwork done. It was a flawless transaction. Within 6 weeks they had done my Texas registration and paid my Texas sales taxes and fees. It truly was a flawless and easy transaction.

Just goes to show, one never knows.

It's nearly May - do we have a timeframe on when the ordering/pricing guide for the W214 wagon will be available?
