E450 Fuel economy
Any E450 owners that would be willing to share their fuel economy, especially at highway speeds (around 80-90 mph)?
I'm in Europe and we don't have the E350 available. So it's either the 200, which is a bit weak, some plugin hybrids (which I don't care for) or the E450. Everything besides the price is better for the E450. I'm not thinking about the fuel cost angle, but whether I'll have to constantly spend time filling up the tank while on a road trip. I currently have a diesel GLE so I practically don't have to think about that at all.

Thank you very much! That looks very good. So one more potential negative to cross off the list. Now I have to convince my wallet Unfortunately where I live, 3 liter engines have much higher tax rates that 2 liter ones. That makes the jump to a bigger engine very expensive.

FWIW: I have a 2019 E450. I use regular gas. At 75 mph on relatively flat roads I get between 33 and 34 mpg -pretty much the same as the E350. In town however I only get between 21/22 mpg. I would assume the new I6 on the E450 will do as well if not better than my E450.
Hope this helps.

Yes, that helps a lot! Thank you. I don't really care about the city MPG, as long as it's not atrocious. I was curious about the highway MPG so every I didn't have to make stops more often than I wanted to. It looks like the fuel consumption is very nice, even when I compare to my diesel SUV.

I do not know what the range will be above 80 mph. But even if the range drops to 500 miles which is 800 km, should be more than enough to complete any trip on the autobahn.
