It would help if you posted the model and year of the vehicle. What part of the item was too small - plate, rod, threads?
I'm glad I live in a state that does not require front plates. The tow hook mounted plates look ugly to me but perhaps it's better than drilling holes in the front grill or bumper.
So the US versions have different bumpers? Front plates are mandatory in the whole of the EU and there's a special place for them on the bumper. It looks good to me, but maybe I'm just used to all cars having front plates.
Parking sensors on the W214 are far out near the corner of the bumper, unless I missed the other sensors lol
You may be right but I would still be cautious. Page 199 of the manual says not to add additional license plate brackets. Not sure what the "detection ranges" around them mean but apparently that must be kept free.
