Hope it goes smooth, that (the MB luxury grille) looks so much better (in my opinion) or maybe you prefer both.

I prefer the luxury grille, but I'll keep the sport grille if I do swap it out. Just so I can make it original if I ever need to. I bought new wheels too, and will keep the original for the same reason.

I know I am a bit late to the party, but I did a similar mod with the lower chrome pieces right around late September 2024. I will provide the link below:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/256589002718

It is essential to mention that I added 3m double-sided tape alongside their plastic and emblem adhesive, and as a safety bonus, PPF applied on them for longevity. So far they have been holding up well.

I would contact them and ask if it includes all the parts listed above from ccrizk and that it's really for a W214. I would also want clarity on the return policy and be sure you could return it if it's not defective, but doesn't fit your car. It's clearly not an OEM part so it depends on what the manufacturer (likely China based) included in their copy/reproduction.

Has anyone found these chrome parts for the E53?

Thanks for the info share, @ccrizk - curious to ask, have you run your W214 through a car wash? Any issues at all with the star hood ornament?
I'm ready to pull the trigger on this part w/ my dealer - simply love the look!!!

Wow...that's not good to hear.
I haven't asked my parts guy at my dealer yet - they're located in Naples, FL.
I did just order the hood ornament though on Ebay. Says I got the last one - who knows???

I ordered one from a local dealer and they tried to give me a hard time about it. Kept saying it won’t fit my car and it would be non refundable. I finally told them just to send the damn thing. Fits perfectly.

I thought you meant you ordered the grille. Yeah you can install the standing star on any MB in place of the flat star

Is the standing star installation straight forward? Last I remembered, someone posted about needing to modify or cut under the hood to make it fit. I may be entirely wrong though.

The star is super easy to install. You put it in the hole, turn it, then use a screwdriver to turn the inner mechanism that expands the tabs and locks it in place. The original flat emblem just pops out. There is a black plug under the hood that you have to pry out first, but it's easy. Takes a couple minutes start to finish. Most of that time is cleaning out the dimple under the flat emblem. It gets dirt under there from washing the car.

Thanks, Wolf I will look into it once I get the star emblem as I couldn't find any videos online and have only swapped out the EQS emblem before where it's a simple two-minute pop in and out with these two small rivets where the emblem sits. Like this:

It's not like that. It's a large single hole about 1" in diameter that is keyed. The star fits in the hole and spring loaded nylon tabs that are part of the base lock it into place. I can take pics this weekend and post them. It's stupid easy though. Very different than the EQS based on your pics.

Yeah totally different than the EQS, my guess is because the hood in the EQS is not meant to be opened.

This video is the opposite of what you want to do but is explanatory.
