I took the liberty of looking up your PO number on the Track & Trace and see that you have an extra cargo event that I do not have yet. Yours has a CUSTOMS RELEASE two days after LINER RELEASE while mine just has the LINER RELEASE. I spoke with my sales rep today and he said his system is still showing that it's on the ship and he has no visibility as to where it is at the moment outside of that. I expect that it's waiting on customs release and maybe they have a huge backlog of cars to clear so it's taking a while. It took tomd's car 2 days and that's how long it's been for my car so far so who knows, maybe it will clear soon. I've posted screenshots of the tracking so you all can see the events it goes through once it gets to the port.
How did you do that search? I looked at https://www.mbusa.com/en/inventory and filtered on 2025. After doing that, there are no E-Class option to select which would mean there are no 2025 E-Class vehicles available according to MBUSA. I also just looked at the configuration/build page for the E-Class and it's still showing the 2024 MY.
I'm browsing this discussion, because I'm trying to negotiate a new E450. I say "negotiate', because my local dealer is trying to do a "dealer trade" for a 2024 that another dealer has. My dealer contacted the other dealer almost a week ago, but so far, they're stalling, and not committing to either do the trade or say that they have indeed sold it to a local customer of theirs. Meanwhile, I'm in limbo. (realistically, can a dealer stall forever, on something like this??)
This brings up a question......I've been trying to tap into the configuration/build page for the 2025 E450, but it doesn't work. It will pull up page 1, show the car and the base price, but I can't go any further than that. I cannot access the equipment and options pages, simply to determine what I want, should I have to go with a 2025, rather than being able to grab the 2024 that I found online, and would like to have. Anybody else facing this "wall"?

On the dealer trade, yes, they can stall all they want. If the cars are moving then they have little incentive to transfer the car to another dealer. Best bet is to just buy it from the other dealer and ship it to you or go pick it up. These new E-Class cars do seem to be moving fast. The dealers near me don't have them for long.

If you really want the 2024, which is now 1 year old as far as depreciation goes so it should be at a significant discount: contact the dealer who has the car directly.

Although I've used online build for the 2024 model, the build for the 2025, which I've been trying for the last week and a half, wouldn't work. last evening, after you confirmed that it was indeed functional, () I tried it again, but this time, I disengaged my "adblock" and I was able to access it. Yeah, I can understand "dealer #1", the one who has the car, may want to hang on to it, and sell it themselves, for more money. However, on the other hand, I think it would be a case of simple, common courtesy to state that, up front, to "dealer #2", the dealer that I'm working with. From what I understand, "dealer #1" told my dealer that they might be willing to let it go, but that they (suddenly) had two possible buyers, however, that was a week ago, with no further communications.

I understand your point, but "Dealer #1" is a 5-6 hour drive from my location, which is somewhat less than convenient. And secondly, I doubt that my dealer, "Dealer #2", as mentioned in my above comments, would be thrilled if I stabbed them in the back, and worked a deal on the car on my own, after initially getting them involved. In that respect, I'm looking "down the road", and if I need service, I would be depending on my local dealer.....

I'm now a week August 17, which is the projected date my 2025 MY E-450 should be completed. Perhaps my expectations are too high, but I would appreciate a confirmation or the latest update from my dealer rep. Yes, I can inquire, but practically every communication originates with me. A communication stating things are on track or not, and when I should expect to hear from him again would be a sign of attentiveness and demonstrate they understand how uncertain this can be for buyers. As learned from others, I should get a VIN during the "build" process next week, before final production. Next, I should know when the car gets to port and when it ships. I'll share the frequency and accuracy of the info I get going forward. Once on ship (RORO) to my Brunswick GA VPC, I can track it myself. If all goes reasonably smooth, meaning production completes on August 17 and the car ships within a week or two, I should have the car in my garage between late September and early October.

Go to the below link and enter your PO for CUST REF NUMBER. If your car is on a ship, it will give you the details.

My build was completed on 8/16/2024. I found out by contacting my dealer rep for our monthly update and got a return email response that he was no longer with the dealership. I asked my new rep for an updated spec sheet with the VIN and he sent it to me immediately. I was able to verify all my options were there and I can see the final cost. Current status: "Produced, not shipped", meaning it's at the factory awaiting transport to the port. With a new rep, I expect more timely updates.

The dealership should offer an explanation of the status. Hopefully it's nothing dire. Anything at the factory, especially a freeze, impacts a lot of stakeholders.
The car looks good in the brown. Finally got my order squared away should have the All Terrain sometime in November. Looking forward to getting the car.

Haven’t heard a peep from my dealer. I’ll let you know when I do, but he hasn’t been very responsive.
Any updates? Still waiting for shipment. Don’t see anything from the last 2 ships that departed 8/23. My expectation is another 5 - 7 weeks. Next shipments are 8/28 and 8/30 but that may change.

Research indicates the status means the order cannot change. It’s frozen and whatever is in the system for the build is what it will be. You can look up the VIN and request the final build sheet from your dealership to see exactly what the build entails.
