Have only seen one other E 214 class in New Jersey and Philly area. Most;y SUVs and C and CLA classes. Love my car and the looks. Now if I can get that update so we can use the Digital Light I paid for as an extra for Welcome and Farewell and some road warnings.
Roadrunner.

I am starting to see more W214s in my community, but none of them look nearly as loaded as ours. Just last week I saw one in Sonoran Brown metallic with black wheels and night package and I liked the color combo.

I hardly ever see any 214s either sedans or wagons here in Southwest Florida. I guess if I ever sell the car being the All Terrain Wagon better off doing it in New England where I live summers.

Thanks, but we are talking about seeing them outside of a dealership as in one's that are already sold and privately owned. There are plenty at many dealerships, but that would not really be "out in the wild".

As there are so many at the dealers, I am wondering why we do not see them on the road. Is it because the E Class is not selling?

Perhaps those who lease is not happy with the money factor? I mean I don't lease but the majority do.

The Money Factor, MF for the E class is .00131 which is 3.14% which is very competitive and some would say even below market. So no, the MF is not a problem.

What is a problem is the residual: that is 52% for 36 months. That is very low. The depreciation on a MSRP of $76,420 for three years is over $36,000. The residual is $39,739. A thousand dollars a month depreciation is a "hard pill to swallow"!

Fair to say that is lower than the W213 once were?

Could we please not make this thread about money or sales? There are plenty of threads on that topic and they often devolve into some senseless discussion abouts politics or other unrelated topics. This is about seeing the new W214 out in the wild. Not seeing many driving around could be due to low sales, but the car has not been out for very long compared to all other cars so of course they will be somewhat scarce. I prefer to drive a car that few others are driving and so far it still feels pretty unique since I've not seen another out there.

The Chicagoland area has no shortage of MBs. W214s, is another story. Rarely have I seen any in the last year. No E 53s yet.

And of any 214s, 350/450 ratio has to be at least 5:1

With respect to L1Wolf, just a short answer.

The MSRP on my 2019 E450 was $70,205. The residual, 36 months, 10K per year was $41,946, the depreciation $28,259. That is 59.75%. The difference in depreciation $36,689 on the 2025 E450 vs. $28,259 the 2019 E450, $8,422 is $234 a month extra plus interest.

That is probably why there are so many E Classes on the dealer's lots and not "out in the wild"..

Sorry for the digressions.

I believe the W214 debuted in April 20, 2023 and became available in the Fall of 2023. That is nearly 1 1/2 years ago. The reason why so few have been "seen in the wild", I think is because of the very, very high monthly lease payment, as per my posts above.

Just my $.02

I live in Southern California and I've only seen 2 or 3 max, so very niche. I ordered a custom e450 in November so it will be interesting to see if the dealer wants to try and sell it for $100k if I pass because of the tariff given that the 350 is a hard sell out here.

Like many here in the forum, compliments on the style, color and all around function are endless. I had someone in a small restaurant ask who had that 214 E Class? Compliments. The staff at the dealership in NJ go out of their way to compliment my ownership of the E class though they are selling mostly SUCs and C and CLA classes.

I think the cost to lease or loan is to some degree, prohibitive for many and could be a reason for low sales. Another is for that money, many people want a bigger vehicle. Americans seem to have a love affair with SUVs and luxury pickups. I've had a few myself, but have always loved sedans and in particular the E-Class. I'm glad I don't see many out on the road.

Fair to say there are more GLE or GLCs on the road compared to say W213 or W214 E-Class in your area?

I went to Massapequa when shopping around last summer, and they only discount they offered was $500 from AMEX. Same to all the dealers I visited on the Island. Maybe they are feeling much more pressure now.

I heard CA MB dealers offered 10%+ discount on many models, not sure if that included W214.

Speaking of depreciation, I just turned in my 2022 AT at the end of my lease. The buy out price was $42k. My dealer just listed it as a CPO for $60k.

Yes, that's an accurate statement. I see tons of those compared to other MB cars. A fair amount of G wagons too. Most sedans I see are C or S class and the E's I see are mostly W213 or W212 variants. I'm sure I'll see some W214's eventually but haven't seen a single one outside of a dealership and I've driven back and forth to NY and FL.

So the CPO warranty and a car wash/detailing made the difference.
