Upon starting my car up today and backing into the driveway, I got a loud POP over the speakers and all screens went black. Nothing came back until I shut the car down and restarted. I thought it was maybe just a reboot but the download is now at 59%.
I hope this isn’t an omen of things to come. I’ve never had a hiccup until today.

Indeed @L1Wolf - I took delivery 28 FEB 2025 and the software version downloaded and installed that day at my dealer was E265.1-5545.

Thanks. I just finished the update. Took about 90 minutes total while on a road trip. Everything seems okay for now. No issues.

I have the exact same version as you which is what I would expect.

I have the same software version E265.1-5545 from a dealer installed update at the end of 2024. From this forum, the newest update appears to be E267.0-5586.

Anyone knows how to trigger the update? I had communication module update triggered automatically but not the 3.2.1. My software version is still E262.3-4975.

It's not something you or any of us can trigger. MB must do it. You could take it to a dealership and see if they can, but I don't see the point unless there is something wrong with the car that may be fixed by the update. Nothing new is noticeable in the update.

Thanks. Trying to see if the update will enable the digital light animation function for the 2024 model.

I just had E270.1-5683 installed yesterday by my dealer. So far I don’t see anything new.

What was the reason for the update? Were you trying to fix something?

I was doing the manual map update to v11, shut the car off mid-way. When restarted update was frozen, cancel didn't work, did a full reset, problem remained, had to bring the car in and they updated it once they cleared the problem. Told me the map was also at latest, but it is 10.2. Will do the manual update when driving long enough for full update to install.

What's interesting is that version you got back in April (E270.1-5683) is the same version I just installed today that was called MBUX 3.2.2. I got the notice on the 15th and just installed it today. If this version was available a month ago, I wonder why it wasn't pushed out to everyone instead of pushing out 3.2.1. Maybe it was considered untested and they only put it on cars that they were trying to fix something on. Whatever the reason, it's interesting to see how these software updates are rolling out. I'm keeping a list of what appears to be build versions (E270.1-5683) and MBUX versions (3.2.2) so I can try and figure out the pattern. I suspect there is none and they just slap a name on the build when it's released as a production build.

Well, you have now answered the question I have had since I saw the posting about an over the air update. I did not receive any notification. As you indicated I got the update when the dealer updated the software. I have had this version for bout 1 month and have not had any issues. I have since updated the nav map to the latest level without any issues.

Well, that is interesting indeed, wish we can somehow figure out the changelog to know what bug fixes are implemented.

The digital light animation functions have been active since delivery in my 2024 CLE53. I noticed that the update to MBUX 3.2.2 MAY have added the “spot light” function” after installing MBUX 3.2.2. I noticed that the digital light animation function select page included the spotlight function and it was toggled off. I switched it on, but haven’t driven at night since to check it. It may have been there the entire time and didn’t notice until after I did the update.

The spotlight feature has been there since I took delivery last year. It will occasionally turn itself off though. I've never seen it work since it only works if a person is crossing the road in front of you at night.

I updated software OTA and so far no problems. Instruction was to start ignition without starting car, all windows closed, leave car and lock. I did it in garage and took about 1/2 hr.

Do you mind telling me which state you are in? So we have some data/statistics going?

Where did you see those instructions? I've never seen that before. How do you leave the ignition on and lock it without locking your keys in the car? I've tried to lock the keys in the car. It won't lock. Not doubting you, just want to learn.

.
There is no need to leave the key in the car when the ignition of turned on. One can even lock the car from the outside with the engine running.

Wait you can? Do you mean by remote start but that doesn't last more than 10 minutes though and you can only remote start it twice? I thought vehicle won't respond to the lock command if engine is running? Did they change that? Are you talking about the emergency key?

We only had to deal with the idea of crawling out of the trunk and closing it just to keep engine running
