Hold on now, how did they get a carbon-fiber steering wheel? Is that part of the carbon fiber package?

No. It is a standalone option. You can replace the standard steering wheel with the carbon fiber/microfiber version.

In the US?

Does someone have the official dealer configurator options? The mbusa configurator is not perfect, for example no heated rear seats.

Weird. It's in the sedan guide. Option L6H, but it says "Delayed". I know US cars (at least up until recently) could be configured with it - sedan and wagon.

Yeah, I just saw that. The wagon guide is also missing a few other options like the black microfiber headliner and the Advanced USB package. I wonder if these are just misses in the doc or legit not available on the Wagon. Default seatbelt is also Black on the wagon which is.....weird.

They should still be available. The guide is probably wrong.

Re Seat Belts: my build sheet with price and everything I got says red seat belts. I have black leather upholstery. Let’s see what they turn out to be

Honestly, what good is an order guide that is clearly wrong? I mean how hard is it to get it right?

Given how craptastically awful this launch has been, it's not surprising. The product manager needs to be fired. Doing some digging with my dealer buddy, we also saw some MSRP printouts that showed the Sun Protection package still at $800, versus $380. These are cars that are already invoiced, so the customer is paying the $420 because of a pricing mistake. MBZ conveniently disclaims that it's not their problem.

If you have the package, double-check your MSRP! And have your dealer open a case. The more noise, the faster it will probably get fixed. (And ask them to discount the car by $420).

^ I went through all of this with the R232 SL launch. And don't get me started on the 2022 E63 that order guides were published for and orders accepted for that never happened. It's more than just the project manager on this car.

The order guide also says the 5 spoke 20" wheels are a $0 add, which is not correct. They are $200.

Wonderful word to describe it @wdimagineer

Have a few odd things on mine - pricing for pinnacle, RTP rims and the shades. Doesn’t seem to line up.

Some dealers are already playing the markup stupid games :-) Note, this is not even a Edition 1.

On paper :-)

They're both Edition 1 which is a no-go for me. I'm going to special order one if the missus approves and likes the ride. We'll test drive one once available.

I'm a weirdo so I started tracking the cars that are not sold order and therefore make it to the MBUSA inventory page.

So far, there have been 27 of them listed, 5 are sold, 9 were Edition 1. And here is the real kicker: out of the 18 non Edition 1 every single one has Driver Assist while it was not an option on Edition 1. This is a huge miss that makes the Edition 1 a non-starter for me and likely many. Also, there are two Alpine Grey non-Edition 1 on the floor, a color my wife actually likes but we can't get :-).

when spending this kind of money, just order exactly what you want.

Oh, 100% for sure! I'm just merely pointing out that the Edition 1 is a weird configuration. I understand that dealers must have some product on the floor so they have to order some cars. My local dealer has three sold orders and one in production so you can see that most of the wagons for sure will be order vehicles and not off the lot.
