Any luck? Basically what I did once, get in the car with my keyfob then opened the Mercedes app then tap the tiles icon (the middle icon at the bottom out of the 3) scroll down to Remote Control and selected setup digital vehicle key. After that I placed the phone in the wireless charging area and followed some prompts, it even installed google wallet for me from the playstore when my phone didn't have it installed. The car then prompted setup successful in the infotainment. I have the latest 3.3.3 version.

If you couldn't get it working in google wallet try samsung wallet if you have a samsung phone.

The issue I have is there is no Setup Digital Key option in the Mercedes app. I have all digital extras enabled, but in remote control all I have are three things which are lock status, remote start, and windows. My Mercedes app version is 3.64.0 and I'm on MBUX333.8-58. I assume the 3.3.3 version you mention is MBUX and therefore likely the same as mine. In any case, the process starts on the phone in the Mercedes app and my app does not have the option to setup a key.

I assume this is where you have an extra icon to setup a key?

Yes same exact software version in car down to the digit, I also got the digital light system upgrade upon delivery and installed that. The Mercedes app is also the exact same version, although my phone is on Android 16 if that makes any difference. Try logging out and uninstalling the app then reinstalling in a fresh state. Not sure why, just like yours the digital key is blurred/dimmed out (compared to other mbux comfort features) but it is activated.

 

As mentioned earlier, it only talks about iPhone when you set it up but I am doing all this on an android now, I previously mentioned I switched from an older S22U to the pixel 9, just powered up my S22U same exact setup process but can't have both phones paired. Both Pixel and Samsung running Andriod 16. Both with UWB enabled. You can notice which screenshot is from which phone by the status bar icons.

With that said, thanks so much for the warm welcome! Happy to join the family, I had my W205 pre-MOPF/pre-facelift C-Class for the longest time I ever with any MB, bought new in 2017, all my family members has upgraded to something that has at least MBUX 2.0, they kept persuading me to upgrade and the 2026 E 350 is the first new MB I got in 2020s so post covid-19.

As mentioned before, I am most impressed with is the transmission improvements, it is the smoothest MB transmission I ever driven after driving many MB models (AMG like E 63 S to non), including those of my family members' and friends. It was ridiculous even the W223 had a jerky transmission but glad the W214 has it resolved. This was surprising and I am glad because MB transmissions were common to have rough shifting issues.

I got the Burmester 4D but I am not impressed with it, what equalizer settings did you choose? The speakers seems weaker than the 3D less speaker less wattage than my family members 2019 E 450 coupe (C238).

I am still learning as I go so please bear with me, for example, I couldn't figure out how to activate the interior assistant, perhaps it wasn't an option at all on Canadian models, same goes with selecting the headlight projections, I thought it was a paid feature so I went in the Mercedes Store but only dashcam was available for purchasing. I find the Routines feature useful, I have it all setup now, I can choose massage as a a condition but for some reason can't add seat kinetics in. MBUX also got rid of all the jokes from MBUX 1.0? I remember playing around with those in the showroom back in 2019, she refuses to tell a joke now. Carwash mode was present although I hand wash anyways but I can't find standby mode which will be useful since I travel out of the country often.

I am still trying to decide which massage program to use, any recommendations? I should probably ask this in the massage thread. I am jealous about your All-Terrain or any wagon for that matter, yes, it is available in Canada but there is no stock within over 500 miles from me and I live in Toronto so not in the middle of nowhere. It is either out of province or does not have the options I wanted.

I decided to buy cotton gloves to drive with because I kept smudging the piano gloss surfaces such as the capacitive touch seat controls and the steering wheel and the screen. That does annoy me but I did know that coming so I am not mad or anything, the gloves work well.

I got a E 350 because I still have my M276 C-Class for the weekly fun purposes, although I wouldn't mind the E 450 if it had the options I wanted. Didn't consider the E 53 because, it is too heavy, I test drove one, you really feel the weight in the corners, don't need the horsepower (it is great to have though), didn't need PHEV.

I didn't want to do any custom ordering because I felt like upgrading now although next time I probably should because I have no use for distronic and a few others, not denying it is a great system though. I like to drive myself. I wish European delivery was still a thing then I will most definitely custom order. no pictures yet because the car is full of salt, need to get my detailer or I'll do myself before pictures. My spec is boring though.You probably won't look forward to it

I did get digital light. I got night package but I realized for an E-Class I would had preferred chrome. Don't have an iPhone so couldn't try out spatial audio. I also got soft-close doors, nice to have but not necessary for my use, I should had got the 3D instrument cluster but that is a rare option for in stock models but I heard it was pretty cool on the W223, I like how they trickled it down to the W214, it is a $1,400 CAD option which isn't too bad. Finally, I did not get AIRMATIC. I only got leather and not nappa though. Okay so the elephant in the room, the taillights, I mean I am the type that likes to be understated the taillights are a little showy, I don't like it but I also don't hate it, it certainly wasn't the dealbreaker for me, if I had the option though, I would choose to not have stars in it but no big deal to me anymore.

Very strange. I'm on Android 16 on a Samsung S24 Ultra with UWB turned on. I got the same email you got about keyless go and digital key last August. I've logged out of the MB app, cleared cache, deleted data, and uninstalled/reinstalled the app. Still no option to setup the key in the app. I don't think it's a phone issue. More likely something messed up with my account. I may contact MBUSA to see if they can help, but I doubt they can.

 

It would be best for the community to post those other topics in other threads. Otherwise, it's hard to find stuff later. I have answers to many of your questions and rather than to reply here and continue off topic, I'll respond to your posts in other relevant threads. It is a great car. Hope you enjoy it as much as I have. There are some frustrating things about it. Like this digital key, but I think that is more something to do with my account than my actual car.

 

If it is the account being the issue, not sure if you can get the dealership to transfer the VIN to a new email address (unlinking) and trying there, not sure if it is worth the hassle. Or unlink yourself. Hope all works out so you can try it out though.

So I had time to try it in Samsung Wallet instead of Google Wallet, works as well hope it eventually works for you OP. I had to unpair the Pixel 9 because I can't have two digital key under the same Mercedes Account.
