Slowdown feature stopped warking.

E200 2025 combustion engine.
There was a feature when the vehicle approaches a vehicle standing in front of it, there is a noticeable deceleration using the engine. Recently, while driving, a note appeared to me presenting an option that I don't remember what it is, it is canceled and the driving instructions should be consulted. Currently, the aforementioned deceleration feature is not working. How can I restore the feature that is currently not working?

Usually this is due to a dirty sensor. Check out the owners manual for how it all functions, cancels, resets.

No idea but just go online and find the manual for your country on the mb website. It will be easier to do keyword searches and find what you need. You are looking for "active brake assist".

If you switch your gauge cluster to the service display, you can see past alerts and see what it was that triggered. I've had this happen about once every few months on my '24. Each time has been on a clear day, clean car. The car simply decided that it didn't want to allow all the assistance features to work. Turning it off/on again cleared it up once. Driving for a bit cleared it up once. And I think once it was in the middle of an OTA update (my guess).

I'm guessing you are referring to intelligent recouperation. You adjust that using the "shift" paddles on the steering wheel. There are different levels of recouperation. The Auto level uses information such as slowing vehicles ahead of you to increase recouperation and slow the vehicle down in response to vehicles ahead slowing down. Although this feature is only in the hybrid and electric models. The other feature is DISTRONIC, which is adaptive cruise control that slows down and accelerates automatically based on the traffic ahead of you. I'm not aware of any other system that increases engine braking based on vehicles slowing down ahead of you, other than the Active Brake Assist, but that's only in emergencies when an imminent possible collision is detected.

yes. I noticed this behavior (The Auto level). I didn’t use any function and the car use this especially noticed behavior when approaching to a junction with cars in front of me.
I don’t know how to set the “Auto Level” as I didn’t use the “shift" paddles on the steering wheel at all.

This is what I need to set I think :

My car is a brand new only 700 km.
first 650 km this function worked , in the middle of driving a message appears ( don’t remember exactly what) but I can remember that it refers to look on the car’s manual.

Solution Update

After visiting my local Mercedes dealer’s website, A service Recall message appears regarding Ambient lightning software issue.

After full software inspection the dealer said that there’s a lot of bugs in my 2 month E200 E class.

After an hour or so I left the dealer and now everything is OK.

my recommendation is when you notice a change in the car behavior, Don’t hesitate to check the car’s software.
Thank you all for your replies.
