Ordered and received a new E450 recently. Had it heavily optioned, with Pinnacle Trim and Comfort seats. As far as the MBUSA online pages, the comfort seating package includes a feature which I was looking forward to - Energizing Comfort Plus. having received my car, it actually does NOT include this feature. Apparently, this was deleted in the ordering system, but still shows in the user online MBUSA system. This was a feature that I was really looking forward to, but sadly, is no longer included in 2026 models. Please be aware of this error in the online system.
P.S. although the feature has disappeared, the price for the comfort seating package has not been reduced!
I had heard this was removed for the US market. I'm not sure why. I'd open a case with MBUSA.

It's funny, but I actually think I saw the capability before an update was sent to my MBUX shortly after I took delivery.
It's a licensed feature tied to a vehicle option code (PBR, I recall). My 2026 EU model has it, so this is just a US thing. A software update shouldn't remove it.

The biggest stress for me would be buying a refill for that fragrance jar. Have you seen the price for that stuff?

I thought it would be dumb, but it is actually really nicely done. Very meditative and relaxing. There are numerous selections of sound, visuals, and sensations depending upon your mood. My wife loves it so much that she is actually willing to put up with my driving “style” just to ride along. When I wait in the car with the dog while she is shopping, I can just close my eyes and melt into the seat. Now I like it when she takes too long.

Just to confirm, I found a 2025 build sheet and a 2026 build sheet for an E450 All-Terrain with Multicontour seats. The feature is indeed code PBR and was part of the DB8 package but it is no longer part of the DB8 package on the 2026 build sheet.

I also checked and my E53 wagon does not have it either so AMGs won't get it either. It's a bit of a bummer, this will likely result in MBUSA updating the website hopefully. This is just another cost cutting to offset the rising prices. The electronic vents were also removed for MY2026. While the base price did go up the price of the Pinnacle Trim dropped by $600.
But the build page lists it as part of the package for both of them, however I looked at an actual 2026 E53 Sedan's build sheet and the PBR is not part of the DB8 package. So this appears to be completely nixed from the W214 for the US no matter the body style or powertrain, it's the website that is full of discrepancies.
Don't misunderstand me, the US build page also includes it just like the Canadian one. It's just that the car main page does not for the newer 2026 only Wagon and none of the 2026 cars that have arrived have this option.

Sounds like those that want the Energizing comfort plus might be able to get it via one of the coders online.

Yes, it appears to be a simple software deletion. Makes me wonder if at some point it will be removed from cars that already have it. Different selections have been added to and removed from the program over time. I think that I now have one that mentally prepares you on your way to play a round of golf after they removed the one that walked you through exercising different muscle groups. They also got rid of the “power nap” which I hope was not available to the driver when the car was moving in vicinity to a driverless Tesla.

It would not have been removed. If you want to DM me your VIN, I can check the VMI for the car's configuration for option PBR. But based on the US order guide revisions, it was not available for any MY26 sedan or wagon.

That I'm unsure of. My first 2025 E 53 wagon (EU model) had both PBR and Digital Vent Control. My 2026 has PBR but no Digital Vent Control, so the latter doesn't appear to restrict it.
Thanks so much for the information. I am hoping that MBUSA will reconsider removing all of the capabilities of the Energizing Comfort software because of the removal of the automated vents.
