Kuave car is so strong for just bolting on smaller SC pulley and tune!

equates to 168-170mm crank pulley in power
requires the ECU to be tuned due to differences in AFR (a lot of tuners have tuned cars with this product)
comes with oem nachi bearing.

Price is 625 shipped in the continental US. My paypal is mehtashardul@hotmail.com

Kauve's car ran a 11.7 with this pulley, heat exchanger and tune on 18" BFG DRs mounted on stock E55 rims.

I got the smaller sc pulley a few weeks ago. Today, I am going thru a drive thru and the window person (older lady) said she liked the bird sound fom my car. I dont say anything and smile (but thinking she was a nut). Then, I just now remembered what she said. I go to the garage and start the car. Sure enough, I hear the SC pulley chirping and not so quietly either. I also got the tension pulley (the one on drivers side, low). Luckily, I had the sc pulley and will be replacing it this weekend.

What bothers me is that I couldnt hear it or notice it from inside the car.

Just curious, is it not possible to make an even smaller pulley to get on par with a 178 crank pulley?

not enough room to play with before you start getting close to the bearing

Shardul and Brooke, these are the only guys you should buy the sc pulley and belt wrap kit from

They support their products!

Aahhhh of course...that makes sense.

How about having a slightly bigger idler pulley (the one above the alternator)...would that make more boost similarly to a bigger crank pulley, or have I gone a bit the wrong way on that one?

I'm as good as stock tbh. Just K&N panel filters, ported TB shaft and some nice NGK plugs about 8k ago. What I'm looking for is gains but without having to go too medievil on it or risk any engine issues. As much as I'd like a crank pulley, I think I'm too scared of doing it. It'll either be a S/C pulley that you sell and a tune....or I'll just get the 3.55 ring gearset and TCU tune instead. They'd be as quick as each other I think, right?

smaller sc pulley and a belt wrap kit in definately a more cost effective and less labor intensive way to go.

Hmmm good point. In theory that could be a 3psi gain...I never thought of it like that.

I'm gonna try and make the Eurocharged uk tuning day and see if I hitch a ride with some of the tuned 55's and then see if that inspires me. For the moment, my Celica eats all of my money and I find it hard justifying the money to tune the 55, but i 'want' to, just to even up the ante a little.

Thanks for the tip, Shardul
