Smaller Supercharger Pulleys for M113K

I have another batch of smaller supercharger pulleys ready for shipment.

84mm in size
1.5 to 2 psi increase (as compared to a stock supercharger pulley)
2.5lbs (one pound less than stock 3.5) ~28.5% reduction in weight
equates to 168-170mm crank pulley in power
requires the ECU to be tuned due to differences in AFR (a lot of tuners have tuned cars with this product)
comes with oem nachi bearing.

Price is 625 shipped in the continental US. My paypal is mehtashardul@hotmail.com

Kauve's car ran a 11.7 with this pulley, heat exchanger and tune on 18" BFG DRs mounted on stock E55 rims.

Here is a video

My engine revs way quicker now with the SC pulley mod , did you notice the revs? Taking the extra weigth off the SC rotors X 16000 RPM and combined with more boost is the ticket.

What is the difference between this and swapping to a larger pulley. While the net boost comes out to the same, any benefits with using this over larger pulley to raise boost?

Some people don't like to swap out the crank pulley.

Price is much better, install is way easier and you take a huge amount of rotating mass off your supercharger with the 83mm Sc pulley that is about 33% lighter. Most crank pulley`s add weight , when they go to a larger outer ring. Some as much as 40%.

I bet even in stock pulley size that product would make a hp difference due to being light weight.

Say in an event a supercharger pulley fails, what will be the common modes of failure and what damage is it likely to create in comparison to the extent of damage from a larger crank pulley ?

Clutch will stop working, if the crank pulley fails it could damage the key way, snout and or crank...alot more damage and very expensive to fix

I just ordered one through EC.. Will I need a new SC belt? I have a stock crank pulley. I havent changed my belt for a few years, so think it might be a good time anyway.

Gained 20HP and close to 40TQ adding this pulley to a 168 on the crank and that was in 95 degree weather. Install took about 15 minutes with lift access.

Bro you really don't have to baby it and keep it below 3k, you can actually see when sneakyneon did a bunch of mods with a bigger pulley and actually went to the track that way, just drive normally , don't worry

Btw how many shims did you add since you have a noise, you can add more shims possibly

we added enough shims to make it .55mm clearance so i'd say 3 or 4

noise has been kinda going away as i was driving so i'll drive it like this for a week or two and than see if its still there

Has anyone installed a smaller s/c pulley with a 180mm crank pulley?

What sort of results would be expected?

So with the equivilent of a 190mm pulley, cooling would be pretty important.

I have an upgraded EC heat exchanger and upgraded IC pump, is that enough? Or would I need to upgrade the cooling system further?

Shardul, what would you recomend?

Cheers

Headers also help a lot with cooling and power.. Nice set up you are building.
