55k Pulley Pullies for sale. E55 SL55 S55 G55 CL55 CLS55 . . . 172, 180, 185mm...
So...help me decide by buying the ones I don't need :-)
I have a Eurocharged/Code3/LET 172mm Crank Pulley that has been on the car a little over 7 months...no issues, straight/true and makes good power. Of course I want more.
I ordered a used 180mm ASP pulley kit with a brand new Waterpump Pulley and a used belt from a board member a month or so ago, paid $650 shipped.
I also had on order a brand new ASP 185mm Crank Pulley kit...all brand new wrapped and in the box (Crank and waterpump pulley, new gates belt) from ASP with an invoice for a little under $900 shipped.
I'd like $500 shipped for the 172 kit
I need $620 shipped for the 180 kit
and I'll sell the 185mm for $900 shipped...
Any/all would come with a new waterpump pulley.
I can get the crank bolts for ~$30 at the stealership- you may check local pricing and be able to beat that. I'll be buying one this week and could add one at my cost if anyone needs it...I haven't checked prices on belts but would guess $30-40 for a new belt as well.

I ran the 172 for a couple of Texas months before installing my HE/Pump...noticed definite improvements in power and response, and limited difference even after the new pump and HE....these cars generate a bunch of heat regardless.
If you already have a tune- a pulley is going to be the best "seat of pants" bang for buck...the HE and Pump come into play after you're wide open for a couple of gears...
Short answer- YES. You could probably even go up to a 175 with no change in drivability over stock... .02.
