FS: Kleemann 168MM Pulley

Selling it so I can move to a 180mm pulley.

I bought the pulley from a guy in SoCal who ran it for 2500 miles before moving to a 180mm... I never installed it on my car.

Pulley is in excellent shape.

$500 Shipped.

It's just a pulley? Nothing else? Belt, or extra parts?

Im sure they are.. Just saying Motorkas car is proof you dont need a huge pulley to be fast. He ran like an 11.2 with a 168, tune and headers

Gotcha that is very true, imo anything bigger than 178 and you start running into massive issues with traction and getting power on the ground. I myself am planning on sticking with a 172, I have the race car for ***** out excitement lol

I am not sure if OP is serious of selling the pulley. He did not reply PM.
If I ever upgrade pulley, I would only do 168 or 172. Bigger pulley doesn't really make your car go faster.

for the record with the right tuning a 180 is fine with temps,my car was super slow with a 180 because it had a **** tune on it and the car would dump fuel and pull timing.

the only reason I want a 168 is for traction.I cant use the power on the street with my setup.

I pmed and emailed the op 1 min after he posted and he never got back to me so I dont know what his deal is.

Get in line, I'm talking to him too. :p Not responding to me either.

There's always that VRP pulley, but I've got a warranty on my car. I know the Kleemann is accepted under it.

Guys, please fill me in here. I am looking for a pulley on my 07- 55, but I always thought a Smaller Pulley is what gives more boost as it would spin faster? Why is this car different?

Most cars will replace sc pulley with a smaller pulley for more boost. No one made a smaller sc pulley until recently so the only option was a larger crank pulley.

ok, I think got it now. So this 167 to 180 is for a crank pulley, not an SC pulley. Got it. Thanks!

Yes, SC pulley smaller is better, Crank pulley bigger is better. At this point, this Kleemann pulley won't fit your car. 550 engine is very different from 55 AMG engine.

Mine is an 07 - SL55. Is there a preference in doing the crank vs the S/C pulley? Is one cheaper, one better or anything like that?

SC pulley is a very new product just came out 1 or 2 months ago. I don't recommend so far. Let most of people try out first and see whats good and bad. For Crank pulley, i recommend from 168 to 172 or up to 178. Bigger Crank pulley will generate more heat so you will end up lose power if you don't have good cooling mods. I would go only 168 or 172.
For myself, i only have Kleemann header + tune and its already crazy fast. Good luck !

I'm looking to go similar to what you have, but with a pulley. I do not want to get too crazy, but I do want an 11.5 car as my last car was that fast, and this just feels a lot slower.

09 Challenger SRT8 that I put a Magnacharger on. Just trying to get this as fast as that was. Of course there is no comparison between the two cars, but to make it a clean sweep, I need this one faster.
