I have for sale a RENNtech carbon fiber intake with their 78mm Throttle body Fits E55 AMG. Came off an 05. I am looking to TRADE stock parts+ $2000 for this. Pics to come.
I just bought this car, and joined this forum. I am a member of 6speedonline, and use the same username on that forum also. If interested, please call me(Scott) at 865-765-4064, or PM me.

Are you including the modified supercharger inlet as well? Also is the TB a MB part?
It is all Renntech stuff. I will include everything that is required to install it, as long as you include everything that is required to put your stock parts on mine.
That's a good deal, if I didn't have it I would be all over it. But that looks like a 78mm tb not 82mm.

The 78mm tb has that black rubber piece on the left side where the wire harness goes in tb, the 82mm doesn't.
this is parts off of a Renntech stage 5 car that was owned by Tranman. I will measure the TB to make sure.

Thanks for the clarification. I measured the TB opening at the mouth, it is 81mm, it does taper a small amount at the butterfly, so you are right, 78MM it is!Originally Posted by mertd93

You got it! There is a lot of info on this amg tb, they call it 80mm but it's actually 78 inside. Mercedes actually made the tb's in increments of 4. 74 >78 >82
But from the looks of the airbox it's their v3 version, it's the 82mm version with an adapter for the 78mm tb.
So whoever buys this setup and they wish to upgrade to the 82mm tb all they have to do so remove that beige adapter/ring. Hope this helps!

looks like i am going to have to put this on hold for a couple of weeks, I didnt know i had to take the supercharger OFF to take the S/C inlet off. i wont have time to do that for a few weeks. So if you are interested, let me know.
why are you taking it off? I have the same setup on my car and once you go stock you will wish you never took it off.

I love the Intake/TB set up, but id rather have some extra cash in the bank. i still have the pulley, tune, headers, cat back, and cooling upgrades, so hopefully i wont slow it down too much.Originally Posted by skratch77

I am currently in talks with another forum member on the set up, BUT its going to take longer to be able to get the parts off due to my work schedule, and the time it takes to remove the S/C inlet for the TB. So, its not currently for sale.Originally Posted by Roverron

Well make sure you get a re-tune after you take the parts off.Originally Posted by scottrx7tt

sell the airbox and keep the tb on the car, your looking at 4 hours labor to take that blower off to get the sc inlet out,its not worth the labor even if your doing it yourself.Originally Posted by scottrx7tt

Ill buy the tb alone off you because mine is hacked up from the person before me trying to take the plug off(its glued on)and I would like a clean tb like yours. You can put a stock tb on that inlet but only one bolt will line up.
Iv been running my car with the oem tb for a few months now with only one bolt on it and its running fine.
Interested in the air box. Willing to swap my stock intake and cash, or, just buy it outright.
PM me if your interested.
