Mercedes Social Media Stating EQB's Now Available at Dealerships
While we all (unfortunately) know this isn't true, I find it interesting and a little encouraging that MB made several social media posts this morning where they referred to the EQB as "now available". In one post, included below, they even state the vehicles are now available at dealerships. For those of you with an outstanding pre-order for an incoming 2022 - any update from your dealers on when the first shipments will actually occur?
**UPDATE - MB updated all of their social posts to remove the references to "now available" and replaced them with "coming soon". What a cluster this rollout has been!

I almost feel sorry for them, releasing the car just a few days after the loss of tax credits effectively raised the price by $7500. Plus the fact that Teslas now qualify means there's a $15K swing in favor of the Model Y, it's only competition.
We do have a pre-order down on a 2022 but haven't heard anything about delivery yet. To be honest, at this point I'm pretty torn. A week ago, the car was overpriced but now, it's ridiculously overpriced, especially if it comes without power seats or full Nav functionality.

Most of us know this already. We also know that no one at the dealership level seems to have any clue when they’ll be released. So, my question to you in the hopes you may have the answer, WHY are they still sitting at the VPC? Are the delays being caused by the EPA bottleneck?

Someone I know with an EQB pre-order reached out and said deliveries have begun. Can you confirm? I also noticed on the Mercedes website the EQB has been moved out of "Future Vehicles" and into the "Electric" category. There are two new special offers for the EQB listed as well, which is new. Finally, an official range of 243 miles is listed on the website so it definitely feels like delivery is imminent. I haven't yet heard from my dealership but I will be reaching out to them as well.

I'm guessing a week or less.

Makes me wonder if there are still moving pieces within MBUSA's marketing department concerning pricing as a result of the revised EV tax credit situation??? Not trying to start any rumors, but it seems like something is unsettled.

Thank you for the information. This is my first experience purchasing a first edition vehicle so the entire experience has been new to me. If EQB's are now showing up in dealer inventories, along with the official EPA range being publicized, is it fair to say Mercedes has now "released" the vehicle? That has been the terminology used at every dealership I've spoken to since June. "We are waiting on Mercedes to release the vehicle so that deliveries can begin." I've probably heard that phrase 50 times.

Hmm...FWIW, there's no EQB 300/350 pricing listed on the new website nor in the 2023 Mercedes-Benz Model Line Updates press release MBUSA issued last week, which IMHO, is odd considering MBUSA announced EQB pricing in June.

Regardless, if there is any change to pricing, I have to think it would be a price reduction based up on the lost $7500 tax credit rather than any sort of price increase. The latter would be pretty shocking at this stage in the game.

I had the same thought of you, but I suspect the suppression of the pricing data is irrelevant. They have posted two new Lease specials, which I would be surprised to see them do if pricing hadn't been finalized. And, dealers have confirmed that final pricing was made available to them several weeks ago. That's why they have been able to start taking pre-orders for custom builds. Maybe they are waiting until the Build functionality is activated before posting pricing information?

Well that would explain why the pricing info may be suppressed from the website. Unless I missed, nothing on the new product page distinguishes between the ‘22 and ‘23 model.
