Interesting, funny thing is I already seen EQE SUV in dealerships although rare... or maybe it was an EQS SUV.

Do you have inside information? Or just a best guess ?
Mercedes Canada did not release EQE pricing until more than 2 months after US. I hope we don't need to wait this long for EQE SUV.

July build date

I have an early July build date confirmed for my EQE SUV, but the dealership are very certain that it's an MY23, and they don't even have any collateral for MY24 orders yet. I'm slightly pining for hyperscreen and AR HUD; even the 3d instrument cluster that was "limited availability" in the ordering guide wasn't available for my order.

Weird, I seen several models of MBs ending 2023 production in Late May to early June I am surprised the EQE SUV is still a 2023 if it was to be built in July.

This was a best guess based on initial discussion with SA who now says that prices will be available when the 1st delivery arrives in Canada. This is expected late April or early May. This lines up with your timing of 2 months after the US.

A side note: the SA stated that there is a shortage of leather so only MB Tex upholstery will be available at this time, and ventilated front seats are not available with it.

What's odd is that usually a neaby dealer MB rockville center posts inventory of unreleased models months and months in advance when they get allocations, I mean they've had C43s on the website since last fall, they already have like 50 2023 GLC300s listed with pricing and build sheets, they have a few S580es, etc. But no EQE SUVs. Maybe they aren't even allocated yet, at least not the launch models.

And yes, MB often does model year switchover between June and July, but not for every model. Many keep going through until September, some like the current SL went all the way to December. I wouldn't be surprised if they build 2023 EQE SUVs until September.

Sportstick was informed by a Mercedes engineer during CES that EQE SUV is supposed to switch over in July.

That is correct and is what he told me at CES while we were sitting in an EQE SUV. I would not be surprised if this is a "rolling" changeover happening on one day when the last 23MY is followed by the first 24MY. My prior OEM employer has done that when changes were minimal, in this case, possibly such as adding a new paint color, expanding Hyperscreen availability they already have for EQS, or other minor upgrades based on first year field experience and fixes from EQS SUV. The improvements coordinated for change at the start of 24MY is another reason for a bit more patience and not try to get the last of the 23MYs.

A couple of questions:

1. The Order Guide lists alternate items that must be selected with the DP2 Pinnacle Trim:
- PBR Energizing Comfort Package Plus (only with DP2, 399), or
- PBP Energizing Comfort Package (only with DP2)
What do these packages contain, and how are they different from the P21 AIR-BALANCE Package that is included with DP2.

2..All the gallery images seem to show that the rear and back windows are tinted, but not the front. Is this standard vs the Full Tint that the dealer would like to add?

This is pure gimmicks - something that I would likely never use.

Basically, it is supposed to set you in your chosen mood or relax you by playing some animations on the screen, playing some music, setting the climate control/changing temperature, activating the Air Balance, setting the ambient light, opening/closing sun roof cover etc
The "Plus" is for those with massage seat, and it would set the corresponding massage program as well.
While Air Balance package is just that - the fragrance disperse function.

A total waste of time if you ask me.
I have something similar in my current car, tried it once, hated it, cancel after it started and never used it again LOL.

The mbusa website is now advertising a 279 mile max range. Has anyone seen a release about this? I assume that's for the 350+, which would likely make 350 4matic and 500 closer to 240 miles. if this is in fact a full EPA certification, release of these cars in the US could be imminent.

Not the response you were looking for, but I'll take the opportunity to state that these are very disappointing range figures!
I wonder why there seems to be such a huge discrepancy between WLTP and EPA range estimates? I know testing methodologies can be different, but even with this, it seems the estimates should be a bit closer to each other.

The different testing makes all the difference.
On average, WLTP is about 22% higher than EPA range. EPA is much closer to real world range than WLTP.

These are the EPA estimates published on the MBUSA website:
  • EQE 350+ SUV: 279 miles
  • EQE 350 4MATIC SUV: 253 miles
  • EQE 500 4MATIC SUV: 269 miles

Looks like they began arriving at dealerships today! A very sudden launch like the EQS SUV. They were only loaded on dealer websites for maybe a week prior. But MB Atlanta Northeast got three today as posted by BenzBlogger on TikTok.

EQE SUV 350 lower range than 500? How? Why?

I messaged him earlier, and he said that there is a moratorium for adding new models until the web site redesign is complete.

This might be part of the reason:

Aside from the different battery capacity, the range estimate for the 350 4MATIC also specifically mentions "w/ all season tires", which makes you wonder if the other models were range-tested using different tires.

Good catch. Also notice the pricing for the 350+ and 350 4Matic is the same. I'm guessing they removed some batteries to account for the costs of the additional motor. Keeping the pricing the same lets both the 2WD and 4WD qualify for the tax credit.
