Here's a wild and crazy idea. How about making the tank big enough so when the car tells me it's low I can pour in a whole bottle. I'm sure that'll require millions in re-engineering and years of executive meetings to accomplish though. Guess I'll just have to keep spilling washer fluid on the ground and have a bunch of bottles in my garage with just a little left inside.

You might want to wipe and neutralize that because it is toxic to the animals and pets.

Sales guy says what I saw was part of the PDI (pre-delivery inspection). I can't find any Maserati info about that but I did find info from Honda where they do in fact check the 12V prior to sale, even for their EVs. So deal is still on!

Lousy review but Bjorn's camera captured the color perfectly. It's white but almost looks silver with a hint of blue. You can also kind of make out how the copper carbon fiber has a 3D texture to it.

There was a minor misalignment with one headlight and it's at a body shop being corrected... so deal aint done yet!

I guess corporate didnt approve the body shop so they're going to remove the bumper and correct the issue themselves. So bad news is mechanics are going to do the body work but the good news is it'll be done tomorrow instead of next week. We'll see how it goes.

While I was researching what I should do before trading it in, I stumbled across a video showing how after an MBUX reset it asks if you want over-the-air updates. Is that why I haven't gotten any? Because the dealer configured it that way when it was new? Mercedes Me says I got one over the air update when I first bought it and there's nothing in the app to indicate that feature is disabled. Guess it doesn't really matter now but still...

How bad was the misalignment? Headlights not aimed properly or how the headlight assembly mated to the bumper. I would be fearful of the service people removing the bumper and having a successful realignment of the assembly. For reference, I had an issue on my AMG EQEX4 where one of the proximity sensors occasionally didn't initialize. Service wanted to replace the unit even though it was really due to a BMS startup issue. I asked what was involved to replace the sensor. Here's the short version:

1. Remove the clips on both sides for the bumper to fender.
2. Heat the double sided tape on both fenders ( that would then need replacement tape).
3. Disconnect the various harnesses from the bumper.
4. Release the capture pins
5. Rotate the bumper off the frame and set it on the shop floor.
Reverse the process when done.
YMMV

On my GMC Envoy there was a large metal latch you pulled up on and the whole assembly just popped out. I know we don't have to change bulbs anymore but removing the whole bumper seems excessive to me. Wish engineers would put more thought into servicing when they're cramming things in with their CAD program.

Anywho, I'm still really liking the car. Same with my Jaguar F-Pace SVR. Might be two of the worst brands for depreciation and reliability but their style just suits me.

They're pretty much the same. Maserati markets the Folgore as the top trim level. The ICE vehicles just arent as good.

10 Am tomorrow! Woohoo!

The fake leather feels surprising good and quite frankly would have fooled me had I not known. Doesn't have the smell and isn't quite as soft but you can make out the starburst pattern copper stitching that matches the copper carbon fiber in this video. I think the look is next level cool. And being made from recycled fishing nets just adds to the whole character of the vehicle. Poseidon will be looking out for me like Jason and the Argonauts on my next road trip to the beach.

Oh and it actually has 542 horsepower which just so happens to be EXACTLY how much my 2024 F-Pace SVR has. What are the odds? So I won't have to adjust my right foot when switching vehicles. LOL

BTW, I just did the full system reset and sure enough, it asks if you want over the air updates. So if you never got any like me, that's probably the reason. It doesn't remove the owner's profile though and it displays my full name in the vehicle ever time I start it now asking if I want to log in. Says I have to use the app to delete that but the app doesn't let me under the manage users section. I guess deleting the vehicle from my garage will do it but who the @#$$ knows for sure.

I'm really not going to miss meRcedeS Me, or however I'm supposed to spell it.

If not having any luck, use the call Mercedes Me button in the vehicle and ask them to remove it.

Deleting the vehicle from the app should work as that's what I do with loaners, and then I reset MBUX afterwards.

I did it the other way around but you're right. Removing the vehicle from the app is how you delete the primary/owner profile.

Bye bye Mercedes...

Because of the week delay I'm only the first person to buy one in the southeast USA instead of first in the entire country. I like being first.

Mine won't be on the road either since Progressive doesn't recognize the VIN. They didn't even have Maserati on their drop down list of makes when I tried to enter the info manually. I had to select "other" and type everything in. Then it said it'll take three days and they'll mail me something, yada, yada... Guess it's going to have to stay in the garage for now.

That's what the sales guy said too. Thanks for confirming. I wasn't 100% sure he was right.
