Squeaks & Rattle (Dash / LED Strip)

MY23, EQE SUV has a reoccuring squeak & rattle along the LED strip above the center ac vents / center screen. If I press the LED stripe w/ the upper dash, the noise will be gone for a few days (sometimes a week or two) before returning. The noise will occur even just driving on normal roads. Anyone has a solution / experience on such? Or maybe a blow up parts diagram on how I can remove the LED strip and resecure it (not sure how but will give it some thoughts). Will such noise be covered under manufacturer warranty

Should be covered. My only concern would be when they start taking apart the dash, ( i think will be required) You open yourself up to additional rattles.

I went to service for the ambient lights. At certain angles, you can see the trim is not set correctly, so you can see the led lights peaking out under the molding. They told me this is all normal and refused to fix it.
My instinct is they are trying to reduce warranty claims to help the bottom line. So they may give you some push back. Hopefully I am wrong.

Noted. My 01 E240 has been solid front day 1....after 23yrs of ownership still SOLID...no rattles at all. Will try to get the dealer FIX IT or will contact MB HQ.

I have a temperature-dependent clicking/ticking in my sedan, in the middle under the wood trim, passenger side. I can press on it when it happens, and it silences it for a bit. Most noticeable in warmer months. Dealer offered to fix it, but correctly noted that more rattles may come. For me the potential for more noise wasn't worth it. It's pretty minimal. If it's severe, go for it, but if it's a minor annoyance, keep in mind it could come out worse. They can probably put more felt in different areas to mitigate it.

What kind of materials do you guys recommend if I were to attempt to 'fix' it myself? I don't think I will 'remove' the LED strip from the dash and apply adhesive / secure properly b/w the strip and the dash board. Thinking (correct me if I am wrong / have better recommendations?) to somehow 'tape' / 'wrap' the LED strip in areas I cannot spot from bare eyes looking fwd so the strip will be more 'glued' to the dashboard

Material as in felt tape? Or are you looking for something else? I mean, that is what many dealerships uses to fix rattles and creaks.

I am looking (thinking) to have something I can apply (tape) between the LED strip and the dashboard making the strip more secure / less rattle

I see, give felt tape a shot first after identifying the location.

Squeeze the LED strip towards to upper deck (squeeze them together). For mine, the 'squeaking' sound will be gone for sometime (a few days / a week - I think the amount of time depends on temperature?). Also the driver's side circular vent also squeaks (press in will resolve it - again for a few days or so)

Anyway to put like felt tape or dampening there?

That's something I personally don't have any idea... as I do not want the 'tape' to stick out / show....best would be to remove the LED strip from the dash, apply / slightly thicken the 'hinge' where the LED strip attaches w/ the upper dash (hopefully that's how it's being secured). If the LED strip isn't 'secured' to the upper dash (maybe towards the bottom or towards the front), then maybe apply a thin layer of tape b/w the LED strip and the dash to limit the amount of rubbing? I just need someone who has access to an exploded view of how to remove the dash .... do not really trust mechanics .

Sounds like a plan.
